New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for Inkspirational Challenge where we want you to be inspired by something in your home!

Above you'll see the card that I made... And below is the inspiration! I love this Vanilla Fly print that I've framed, it's one of my favorite hanged art pieces! I didn't have any bird stamps that I wanted to use but a SSS Beautiful Butterflies set from my pile of "new stamps" was calling my name! Love the sentiments in this set too and the butterflies are so pretty you could just stamp them black and white and call it a day!! I did add coloring with my Altenew markers this time to mimic the colors in my Vanilla Fly print.

This will sadly be my last challenge as a DT member of Inkspirational. I've belonged to this group for more than 6 years (if I remember correctly!) and now it's time for me to move on. I'd like to thank our leader Marina and all the DT members for offering me such inspiring company over these many years! I will certainly miss being in this team and let's see what the future will bring!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where we have this fun monochrome photo to inspire you:

All the details about the challenge along with more DT inspiration in our challenge blog HERE! Play along and you could be joining us as guest designer. This time our GD is the talented Vicky and I just love the festive card she made for us!

In my card I've used a new SSS Poinsettia stamp (the sentiment is from the same big stamp, it pops out from the centre, love it!!) combined with a old PTI snowflake die, once a gift from our lovely Time Out boss Sandie and one of my favorite dies for Christmas ever! I went with the monochrome feel of the photo and tried to add also shine and sparkle from the heat embossing and rhinestones. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for Inkspirational where we have a very currant word prompt for you:

I've used cute mitten and hat stamps from W+9, Joy Crafts die cut snowflakes and a simple sentiment from Winnie and Walter (sadly no longer in business) in my card. I quite like the cheerful color scheme this card has! I used Copics for coloring the hats and mittens.

Please head on over to our challenge blog for more DT inspiration and all the challenge details!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational where we are inspired by this cute Christmas pic below:

I made a Christmas card for my "soon to be a cat owner"- friend. I'm a bit worried she will guess that this card is for her when she sees this... But I hope she will still enjoy holding the card in her hands after it has arrived to it's destination! The cute kitten image is a digi by Mo Manning.

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hello friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new TIME OUT Challenge

This challenge is sponsored by Catherine Pooler! All the challenge information, more DT inspiration and prize details HERE. Do play along for a chance to win an amazing prize + to be called to guest design in a future challenge!

I'm a very slow card maker... Not quick at all!!! Even with CAS cards I tend to wonder and ponder where to place my focal point and what colors to use et cetera... And when using die cut flowers/other shapes there's the background to think about, what to do with that... All of that thinking takes for ages. I post 1-2 cards a week but I do spent a lot more time thinking about card making that you might think!

This card has some steps which made it an quick an easy card for me although it of course took some time with the coloring! But my quick steps are:

-a large floral image: not much pondering where to place your image, it practically fills the whole card base! :) This STUNNING wintry floral cluster is a digi by Graciellie Design. Also digis are pretty fast to work with I think: No stamp inking, positioning, cleaning the stamp et cetera... Just some minutes on your laptop and you have a "perfectly stamped" image is in your hands!

-the background is simply inked with blue distress ink and an ink brush (aka old blush brush). No stamping or techniques -just an easy, quick way to ground your image so that it doesn't float in empty space!

-the sentiment is simply stamped with the help of MISTI. Quick, quick!

-no embellishments. It takes me a life time to figure out where to place the sequins or other embellies lol! Doing some plaint splatters is wayyyy quicker and more artsy too!

So do you agree with me, have I made a quick card (for me) or have I cheated? :)

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

Card for Challenges

Hi friends!
I'm here with a floral card with an image from Gracielliedesign -I'm completely in love with these wintry floral clusters, she has several of these type of digis in her store! I've colored the image with Copics and added a heat embossed sentiment. Some inking around the image + white paint splatters and that's how this card came together! :)

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I'm here FINALLY with a DT card for Inkspirational... I took a couple of weeks off due to hectic every day life. Happy to be back and I hope to keep up with crafting again!

Ou challenge is a nice one, "Frame it". I framed my Waffleflowercrafts poinsettias with a nice die cut rectangle (by STAMPloraions) and I guess the brown base counts as a frame as well! My coloring is made with Copics. Hope you like and thanks for popping by! I hope to see you joining us.

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
We begin with a new fun challenge at Time Out today:

The winner of the challenge receives a prize from Craftangles and gets to guest design for us. Play along and next time you could be the winner! All challenge details along with DT inspiration HERE

I''m going with two interpretations of the theme: open golf tournaments and birthday -a sport event can be counted as a festival and celebrating your birthday can also work if you stretch the theme a bit! :) I made this card for my soon 4 years old god son who loves all sports but who last summer got obsessed with golf. His mum plays golf and he gets to join her to the court with her mini golf clubs... One time he got a blister from practicing so hard and still wanted to go and continue the very next day! The way I colored his outfit is inspired by an actual outfit he once wore for a golf day, I studied a video from his mum's IG! :)

With this card I'd like to join

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
It's time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges and this fortnight it's a special one:

So, an important cause of breast cancer awareness is our theme this time. We ask you to make an encouragement card with an optional twist of adding pink which is the color for the ribbon for breast cancer awareness. Do remember regular check ups ladies!!

CAS-ual Fridays is sponsoring this challenge -they actually have many breast cancer related stamps in their store if you'd like to create cards or other projects with pink ribbons or other images related to the cause to help to raise awareness. They do have amazing uplifting sentiment stamps as well!

In my card I've used a large stamp by The Grey Muse Stamps and also added an extra sentiment by Altenew. I've colored the image with Copics and Altenew markers, die cut the image with a STAMPlorations die, added the extra sentiment (heat embossed) and clear drops and called it a day. The coloring of course takes some time but this card is super simple, a large image like this makes creating so easy!

I look forward seeing what you'll create for us. Our winner gets called to guest design for us -this time our GD is the fabulous Dhruvika (Cardogram) whose work I really admire! So -now it's your turn to take Time Out and craft! All the prize info, challenge details and more DT inspiration in our challenge blog HERE

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

It's time for a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time our DT member Marlena has chosen the theme and asks us to "Angle It" -She suggests we angle something in the card for movement. I went with a pretty easy route; I made a thank you card for a friend and angled one panel behind my focal point panel instead of using a traditional frame. I quite like it so thank you Marlena for the inspiration! I've used a beautiful new floral image by Pink Fresh Studio, designed by the fantastic Alex Syberia. Love her work!  The image is colored with Copics and Altenew markers. The die cut sentiment is an oldie but goodie from MFT and the heat embossed sentiment belongs to the PF stamp set. Hope you like! Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us.

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hello friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Time Out where we want you to be inspired by the quote above! You could be inspired by the whole sentiment or just choose one word/some words.

I chose just coffee as my starting point and used a NBUS Three Room Studio stamp for creating a winter-themed card to send to a friend. The "wallpaper" is made with a Memory Box stencil and I used a woodgrain stamp for the floor after first masking the floor area and sponging it with lighter brown ink. The wallpaper background was supposed to be a lot more muted and soft but in my first version (that I ended up tossing) when using my brush for applying the ink I noticed the brush was dirty and my blue ink gave me an icky vomit green color... Not exactly what I was going for. Since I only have one brush I then had to use a blending tool, hence the strong color! The coloring of the main image is created with Copics.

Please head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and more DT inspiration.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
Very sorry to be one day late with my DT card for the new "Day" challenge at Inkspirational but better late than never I guess! I've used a Waffleflower image that has many things related to a fall day in it... But I've turned my card into a Christmas card by adding a Christmas sentiment! You tell me if it was a crazy idea or not! I just had this Christmas sentiment that I knew would be the perfect size and then I just tried to add a lot of red + some snow in the form of paint splatters. :)

So happy once again to be joining the new release at Alex Syberia Design! Alex has many new beautiful digital images in her shop and the one I'm playing with in this post is called Lovely Bouquet. I made two cards -in my second card I practiced on my no line coloring. The leaves turned out ok but I do not love the flowers lol! This image is anyway stunning as are all Alex's images and I do hope you'll have a look at her shop!

I'd like to join the September Flower Challenge with my first card.... And also Simon Says Monday Challenge: Frame It.

Card for Challenges!

 HI friends!

I'm here with a quick post with a floral card for some challenges! New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Time Out where we want you to be Adventurous!

I think anyone eating these colorful mushrooms is going to experience an adventure lol.... But  jokes aside, I was not actually thinking about misusing poisonous mushrooms when making this -I love going to the woods and pick mushrooms, it's one of my favorite things to do in the fall, and those trips and the joy of finding your favorite mushrooms often feel like a little adventure!

The stamps I used come from our generous sponsor Funky Fossil Designs. All the challenge details and prize info in our blog! Also don't miss the fabulous work by our guest designer Conil and play along for a chance to be called in to guest design as well! Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational where we are inspired by this fun photo:

I chose the black and white floor, also the squares on it... And then "white" flowers with touches of color from the balloons. The background card I used is a recycled menu from a wedding I attended some years back -it had this fun stripy backside and I couldn't help myself, I had to take it with me from the wedding! I think I stole my date's menu too. :) I knew there would come a time I could use it in my card making and here we are with the slimline cards being trendy and this was the perfect size! :)

The flower is by Concord and 9th and I've water colored it. The sentiment, simply stamped, is by Colorado Craft Company. It's really jumbo sized -perfect for the slightly wider size of the slimline if you ask me! Also I find some of my jumbo sized sequins work for slimlines but not so well for regular a2 card bases -happy to get some use out of them as well. :)

Please head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and lots of more DT inspiration!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Time Out Challenges:

I went traditional and chose the holiday season. :) The fabulous die I used comes from our generous sponsor Poppy Stamps. I used gold mirror card along with gold glitter card and gold heat embossing and all of these were a nightmare to photograph...  Below is a photo in sunlight so you can see all the sparkle and shine. The first photo is taken in evening light.

Hope you like and thanks for popping by! Lots of more DT inspiration and all challenge details in our challenge blog.

Hi friends!

We have a new challenge for you at Time Out and this time it's one of our Inspired by Words challenges:

Our challenge runs for two weeks and is sponsored by Topflight Stamps . More details in our challenge blog! Our guest designer this time is the talented Ashwini and if you play along and win you could be our guest designer as well!

I was inspired by the word love and used it in one of my sentiments. And I'd also say a dance party in a heart certainly sounds like something you will enjoy and want to take time with! :)

Stamps and dies I used come from Waffle Flower Stamps, one of my favorite companies. The rectangle die is by MFT. I've colored the image with Copics and added some white gel pen details. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!
