A Just For Fun Card. :)

Hi friends!
I colored in this fabulous Alex Syberia Design digi the other day with my Copics and gel pens and made it into a simple card using a die from Penny Black. I don't often make non DT cards but I've recently cut down the numbers of my DT work and am hoping to create more "just for fun" cards in the future too. I love being in design teams, the challenges totally spark my creativity, but sometimes it's also fun to just grab a random image, color it in and make it into a card for no special reason!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge at Time Out where we are inspired by this photo:

Lots to be inspired there, right! I chose the color scheme of the photo + the wreath on the wall made me grab the Spring Frame digi by Alex Syberia Design. I colored the image with Copics and added lots of paint splatters in white, black and yellow. I don't know why my mind goes to a jungle when I look at the final result! :)

This challenge is sponsored by Uniko with an in stock stamp set of our winner's choice! Yay! Our winner will also be called to guest design in a future challenge -this time our fabulous guest is Ana. Play along for a chance to win the amazing prize and to join us in the future!

I'd like to join:

The flower challenge: Spring/Autumn -definitely autumn this time! :)

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

HI friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational and this time I was the lucky DT member that got to pick the theme... And I chose paint splatters! If you visit my blog often you'll know that I LOVE paint splatters - I add them to most of my cards. My favorite way to use them is to use them sparingly... And gold is one of my favorite colors to use. I use Gansai Tambi Starry Colors when I want to use gold. This card has lots of gold -I've heat embossed the Penny Black image with sparkling gold powder, water colored it, then splattered with gold paint (sparingly though!) and added a die cut greeting cut from gold card (by STAMPLorations) ... And I've even added gold sequins. :) Hope you like and thanks for popping by! Lots of more DT inspiration in our challenge blog

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at Time Out

You can be inspired by the whole quote or just choose one word/some words.

I was inspired by garden and made a card with beautiful garden themed stamps by Penny Black. I made a very CAS card using some MFT die cut rectangles as base and decided to just let the image be the "star", not adding anything else than a simple sentiment.

Play along for a chance to win a $25 voucher to the amazing Newton's Nook store and to be called to guest design in a future challenge! Lots of mote DT inspiration in our challenge blog

Guest Designing at Alex Syberia Design, Card 3!

Hello friends!
Here's the third card I made with a flower digi stamp from the gorgeous new release at Alex Syberia Design! Alex's Etsy shop is filled with amazing digi stamps, perfect for coloring. I hope you'll check her digi stamps out, I can tell they were a joy to work with!

The image I used in my card today is called Abstract Flowers. I went with sort of crazy Copic combination and just added some quick coloring, not making folds in the petals or anything... Just something simple. The sentiment is by Waffleflower and the stripes were stamped with an ancient SSS stamp. :) I also printed the image on masking paper so I could add some ink sponging to the background after masking the image.

Here's a look of all 3 cards I've made... Details of the first two you'll find in previous posts!

With this card I'd like to join these challenges:

The Flower Challenge: Spring / Autumn colors (mine being spring!)

That's all from me today and do check out Alex's new release HERE! Thank you so much Alex for having me as guest designer.

Guest Designing at Alex Syberia Design, Card Two!

Hi friends!
I'm back with my second guest designer card for Alex Syberia Design Digital Dtamps, this time using an image called Madame Dahila, another beautiful floral image from the new release!

As my card from yesterday, this is also colored in with Copics but on white Neenah card. I did add quite a lot of gel pen details as well.

The dark reds I used covered the original black outlines a bit too much to my taste so I went over with them with a black Memento marker. It was a bit scary but luckily I didn't mess anything up too badly lol!

Thanks for popping by, I'll be back tomorrow with my third card for the new release! I would like to thank Alex again for having me as a guest designer, this has been such an inspiring weekend, I have been admiring everyone's coloring sooooo much!! If you are an Instagram user, do check out #alexsyberiadesign so you'll know what I'm talking about! :)

Guest Designing at Alex Syberia Digital Stamps New Release!

HI friends!
I'm so delighted, happy and honored to be guest designing at Alex Syberia's new release this weekend, making cards with her new digital images! The new images are available in her shop now and here I'm sharing the first card I made with them. Two more cards to come, one tomorrow and one on Monday!

In my card today I've printed the Spring Frame image on kraft card and colored in with Copics. I've added details with gel pens and splattered little bit of white paint on the edges too because I seem to be addicted to doing so in almost all of my cards. :) The large die cut sentiment comes from STAMPlorations.

I'l be back here in my blog tomorrow sharing the second card I made with the new floral images. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational:

I find it good to concentrate on beautiful, springy things as much as I can on this difficult time... And therefore decided to make a card that took several hours to stamp, mask to color in. :) I combined stamps by Stampendous (the flower) and Penny Black (just love that adorable girl!!) and colored the "scene" with Copics. I'm aware that these two stamps have completely different scale (some of the flowers are bigger than the girl's head!) but I had this vision of "lilliputian girl" from a fairytale in my head. Still can't really say if I pulled it off but I do love that girl image so much I can't stop looking at her!

Thank you for popping by and I look forward seeing you at Inkspirational!

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!

At Time Out we have a special challenge this time: We are trying to raise awareness of epilepsy.

Why a Special Challenge?
March 26th was an Epilepsy Awareness day.
Purple is the colour for Epilepsy and a purple ribbon represents Epilepsy.
Epilepsy is a complicated condition that is often misunderstood. Many see seizures in the media as convulsive seizures but there are many types of seizures-many are silent and you wouldn't even know they were happening!
Rather than us explain Epilepsy in detail to you-take a look at this link to find out more.
Also Sandie, our team leader, has epilepsy and she tells you her experience of living with this condition here-so visit her blog if you want to know more.
There is also a hop going on to raise awareness of Epilepsy with some super Guest Designers and some prizes along the way. Friketa is organising this-pop on over and hop along!

We chose 'friendship' as our 'optional twist' as we thought it would be nice to send a purple card to a friend to make them smile-especially now in this challenging time for us all.

In my card I've used a sentiment stamp by our sponsor CAS-ual Fridays and paired it with a wonderful Stamping Bella image, colored with Copics. The winner of our challenge will win a $25 coupon to CAS-ual Fridays store! Our winner will also be called to guest design for us. This time our GD is Kavya whose card making I absolutely admire! My card is super simple, not much to tell you about it, so I'll just welcome you to join Time Out and thank you for popping by! xx
