New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational where the challenge for next fortnight is "Stitching, real or faux"

My choice is faux -the white oval Simon Says Stamp die cut has stitched edges. Apart from the oval, all other products are by Hero Arts. I've used "Magnolia Branches" cover plate for the background. I cut it from faux watercolor designer paper and glued it on top of another sheet of same paper for tone on tone look. The butterflies from "Butterfly Pair stamp and cut" - combo are colored with Copics. Cutting out the oval shape around them did amputate their wings lol... But I've taped them back and re-inforced the back with an additional die cut layer and I think it works just fine. I couldn't figure out how I could have made this looks with partial die cutting so this was how I did it then, a bit brutal but succesful in the end. :) I love the butterfly die -it's so fun how it only cuts out the wings, you can lift them up and it looks like your butterfly is fluttering upwards from your card.

Thank you for popping by! I hope you'll now head on over to our challenge blog for lots of more DT inspiration and all the challenge details.

Slimline card with Butterflies for Challenges

Hi friends!
I'm here again with a card for challenges, yay! This one is inspired by February Stay Crafty Challenge With a Blog Named Hero  where the theme is "Animal Crackers". Butterflies are part of the animal kingdom for sure and it soon being spring and all... Using butterflies seemed like the way to go!

It had been a while that I had played with my Hero Arts Butterfly Pair stamp and die set. Making this card made me remember how much I love the possibilities of this stamp and die combo! I've combined them with Looking Glass Fine Arts Frame and leaves from Looking Glass Bird on a Branch. Sentiment is from HA set Friendship Blooms. Slimline dies are by Marianne Design. I've used Copics for coloring the images and branches. I simply LOVE how the butterflies pop out from the frame! You can see the dimension more clearly in the second photo.

Card for Challenges

 Hello friends!

I'm here to share a quick card I made for Altenew February Inspiration Challenge along with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Emboss It.  I was inspired by a Youtube video tutorial you can find HERE. Also at Instagram Enna has made cards like this and gives detailed instructions in her posts.

I used an Altenew 3d embossing folder for this card. I used Brushos as my watercolor and various sizes of black markers for background (only cheap ones! I did not want to ruin my black Copic marker!). The background turned out good and even the markers survived... But it was a bit streaky so I ended up giving it extra shine with my Wink of Stella pen.  That worked well! The die cut sentiment is by Picket Fence and I finished the card with lots of paint splatter. I kind of liked the card better before the gold splatters but oh well! They are there now lol! :)

Thank you for popping by.

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

We have a new challenge for you at Time Out and it's a nice an easy "anything birthday goes"! We are celebrating our 9th birthday! We have lots of inspiration in the post too, along with the DT projects we have Special Guest Sandie joining us and also Hannelie as our guest designer. Newton's Nook sponsors the challenge with a whopping $25 voucher to our winner!

In my card I've white heat embossed and water colored Newton's Nook peonies for focal poinst. The heat embossed background is made with a Simon Says Stamp background stamp. Sentiment by Waffle Flower. This card was pretty quick to make, water coloring is so much faster than Copic coloring lol!

I look forward seeing your cards in the gallery.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here sharing my DT card for Inkspirational where we for the next fortnight want you to use stencils! There's an optional twist of adding splatter but without splatter is just fine too!

I'm using a NBUS Studio Light Stencil that creates amazingly realistic pinecones! Seriously I'm blown away by the results! I love the 3d look of this layering stencil and by the way it was very affordable too. The background stars are made with another stencil by Create a Smile and I did add splatter of white gold shimmery water color! Stamped sentiment by Hero Arts, mini slimline dies by Crealies. I quite like how this turned out + it's my first Christmas card for 2023, woot woot!

I look forward seeing your creations in our gallery. Please head on over to our challenge blog for lots of more DT inspiration and all the challenge details.

Card for Challenges

 Hi friends!

I'm here with a quick post to share a card I made some challenges in mind. I was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches  and the new challenge at  The Flower Challenge is to use your latest stash. This is my first time using the amazing Spellbinder dies I eyed for months before buying them before Christmas... And now it's the first time they saw some card stock! Therefore sharing also at NBUS Challenge #47. The blue color palette is inspired by Simon Says Stamp Instagram Challenge. Also sharing at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge with the love theme. Allsorts challenge is an AG challenge with an "I love..."-option. This is an "I love you"-type of card! :)

The sentiment stamp is by SSS and the plaid paper is by Lawn Fawn. Hope you like and thank you for popping by!

New Challenge at Time out!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where we for the next fortnight have a very special photo challenge for you -we are CASEing a card by superstar Gina K! She is also a sponsor of our challenge. All challenge details and lots of more DT inspiration HERE

I made my card with the rainbow color scheme and white flowers theme from her card in my mind. I cut strips of card stock for the background and heat embossed a white Gina K/ Hero Arts collaboration image on top. I added a store bought Finnish sentiment and basically that was it! :) Super quick card. I originally had a very artsy sponged and water colored card in mind but unfortunately time was an issue lol! I'm quite happy with this quick make!

Now it's your turn to take Time Out and craft. I look forward seeing your projects in the gallery!
