More Inspiration With My Monthly Hero for April!

Hi friends!

I'm back with more inspiration for April My Monthly Hero by Hero Arts. The kit is called Plant Lade Society and it's filled with fun dies, stamps and sentiments, perfect for all plant and flower lovers! There's two options: the standard kit for $45 ($88 value) or the Superhero kit for $75 ($155 value). In this post I'm sharing three cards made with the Superhero version of the kit. Make sure to head on over to Hero Arts store for more information about the kits!

Card 1
Stamped and marker colored plants

This card is one of the favorites I've made with the kit! I love coloring in and smallish images like these come to life with some marker coloring so easily and fast. I used shelf stamps and dies from On the Shelf Stamp and Cut set to create my card design with the planters and I love how it turned out!

Card 2
Die cut watering can with sparkly greenery

The cute little watering can with greenery is a super sweet addition in the kit... Perfect for sweet little CAS cards! I sponged a simple halo blue background for my watering can and simply stamped the sentiments instead of heat embossing, to add to the CAS feel. I've added plenty of glitter glue to the greenery pieces so despite of the simplicity, this card has plenty of texture! Also the heart is shiny, I did the trick where you cover your card stock with packing tape before die cutting it. Works like a charm!

Card 3
Die cut tulips on a vase

These tulip dies would have a third layer, but in my excitement of making the card, I didn't realize to use it lol! I do think they still look like tulips though so no harm done. :) I combined the dies and stamped sentiments from the kit with a beautiful frame die called Floral Window -I just love how the vase pops from the background!

April My Monthly Hero Kits Are Here!

Happy April Everyone!

A new month means there's a new Hero Arts My Monthly available... Either the standard kit for $45 ($88 value) or the Superhero kit for $75 ($155 value). In this post I'm sharing one card made with the standard kit and another with the Superhero version. I think this might be my favorite Hero Arts kit this year so far! I had a blast and ended up making 7 cards during one weekend... I love this "Plant Lady Society" kit, it's so fun!

Card 1
Shaker Card With My My Monthly Hero Kit

Immediately after seeing the greenhouse die I knew I wanted to make a shaker card. I used a lot of white scrap card stock for creating the shaker -I figured glueing several die cuts together was a more sturdy option than using foam behind the shaker window. It did work out super well and I'm so pleased of the end result! I also cut many plants, hanging pots and of course the cute cat from the kit too, using the card stock that comes in the kit. I wanted a very subtle background so I used the Birdsong Script Background stamp for stamping a tone on tone background. The heat embossed sentiment comes from the stamp sent included in the My Monthly Kit. Have a look at the whole kit in the photo below!

Card 2
Colored in Die Cuts with My Monthly Superhero Kit

The star features of this card are the stunning floral die cuts that come in the Superhero kit. I cut them from the card stocks that come in the kit and added some Copic marker shading to them. I used sentiment stamps from the kit as well, again heat embossed with white powder. I found some dark teal card from my stash, I think the flowers pop beautifully from it! Have a look at the Superhero kit in the picture below:
