Waffle Flower Christmas in July!

Hi friends!
I'm here with a second entry for the Christmas in July Challenge at Waffle Flower blog. This time I was inspired by the week 1 theme (unconventional Christmas colors) and a little bit of week 2 as well -I did use a tag die and tags where the thing for week 2! I've created my background with brushos and then heat embossed the Waffle Flower poinsettias with copper powder. The white heat embossed sentiment comes from the same set. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Time Out where we have a quote for your inspiration this time:

I was obviously inspired just by one word, "rose", but remember you can be inspired by the whole quote too or choose several words as your starting point.

If you come from our challenge blog you might have noticed that me and my DT buddy Jill are both using the same image -we actually had a crafting date in Zoom and created our cards in the presence of each other. That was a lot of fun and we plan to have more of such dates too! I wanted to attempt no line watercoloring which I find pretty scary... I was thinking it would be nicer with a friend... And also that I would not give up so easily if I had some company!! My plan worked and I did complete the image (I was super slow though, Jill was able to complete her whole card in the same time as I just did the coloring lol!) and made the card. I tried to go for a short of shabby chic CAS feel with the design. Hope you like!

Please head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and prize information from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. Our winner also gets to guest design for us and this time we are enjoying of the card art of Jen Willis

Thank you for popping by!

Card for Altenew July Inspiration Challenge!

Hi friends!
I'm here with a super colorful card today... It's for the Altenew July Inspiration Challenge. My card turned out to present sort of a bold version of the color scheme lol. :) One evening I made the background with Brushos and on the next day it was dry and ready for some heat embossing (copper powder) and watercoloring (I used distress inks). The stamp is a pretty new Altenew stamp, Vintage Garden, and the die cut sentiment is from their latest Craft Your Life kit. This was a surprisingly quick card to make but a horror to take a photo off!! Please head on over to my IG account (@nonnis_cards) for a video of the card, it presents it a lot better. :)

Christmas in July!

Hi friends!
Believe it or not, this is the second post in a row with a card just for fun for challenges! I love summer vacation!!! :) I used a wonderful poinsettia stamp and die set by Waffle Flower for the focal point of the card (also the sentiment comes from the same set) and then used a Catherine Pooler cover plate for the fun snowflake background -it has a retro feel, right? This WF poinsettia set is one of my best purchases from last year, a definite favorite in my stash. I colored the poinsettia with Copics and added some detail with gel pens and Wink of Stella. This card pleased my eye without any embellies or paint splatters so I just left those out this time! :)

This card is for:

Double Trouble Challenge: Christmas in July (no twist of bow for me!)

I hope you liked my card and thank you for popping by!

Card for Challenges!

HI friends!
I'm not often here with a card "just for fun" but today is the day! :) I've colored in an amazing Power Poppy digi with Copics and pencils. To finish off the card I just simply stamped a sentiment by Pinkfresh Studio and inked the edges of the panel with light blue distress ink. I used a scrap of spotty paper to give the image a "side frame" (I'm sure there's a better way to say that lol!). An image this gorgeous doesn't ned much else added, at least to my taste. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!

I'm joining:
The Flower Challenge: Spots/ stripes

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Out with the old and in with the new (the paper is from my scraps box, the digi + sentiment stamps are both used for the first time!)

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
I'm here today with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where we challenge you to be hungry! Our winner will win a fabulous prize from Lawn Fawn and will be called to guest design in a future. Please check our challenge blog for all the prize and challenge information along with lots of DT inspiration! This time our GD is the ever so talented Claire, one of our regular players.

In my card I've used a stencil from Pinkfresh Studios for the background (or a set of two stencils to be more exact) and apple stamps from Picket Fence Studios. The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp. Hope you like and thanks for popping by! I hope to see you all joining us at Time Out!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Time Out where we want you to be inspired by movies!

You can be inspired by movies in general, choose some specific movie or even choose an genre of movies as your starting point. Many possibilities here! Head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details. Our winner wins an amazing prize from our sponsor Poppystamps and is called to guest design in a future challenge. This time our GD is the very talented Nancy Elrick from Nancy's Creative Mess. Do not miss her card or any DT inspiration, click HERE!

I was inspired by a classic scary crime/thriller movie Silence of the Lambs! You remember all the butterflies that are found in the killer's home?! Yaiks. The poster of the film is very simple with a black and white image of Jodie Foster and a reddish butterfly covering her mouth and along with the butterfly theme, I was inspired by the look of that poster. Sorry I can't seem to find an image that I could copy and share (none of the sites let me do that)  but if you google it, you'll find it!

I used a SSS Beautiful Butterflies stamp set in my card. All stamping with black Versafine. The card would be a one layer card if I would not have wanted to add that pop of red! :)

I was also inspired by the sketch at AAA Card Challenge

Also joining:
CASology: Strength (Jodie Foster 's character surely needed strength in the movie! Also this is a 'Thinking of You' kind of card, sending strength to a friend)

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us at Time Out!
