New Challenge at Less is More!

Hi friends!
we have a new challenge for you at Less Is More and this time it's a one layer with a theme Buds or Petals! Perfect for spring, right?

I wanted to create a card with tropical feel so I chose some beautiful blues, yellows and oranges. The flowers stamps are by Altenew and the sentiment is by MFT. The background is stenciled with a Neat & Tangled stencil. Lots of masking and layered stamping here. This was fun to make!

Please head on over to our challenge blog for more DT inspiration! This time our guest designer is Anila who has created a beautiful card with pink flowers for us. Seven Hills Crafts continues as our April sponsor, play along for a chance to be chosen as winner!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
Sorry this post is more than one day late... My Easter guests made me forget about blogging completely! But here I am now with my DT card for our new challenge at Inkspirational where we are inspired by this photo:

I was inspired by the grey and white colors and also came to think about using leaf stamps (tea-tea leaves-leaves). :) I also added a pop of blue in the die cut MFT sentiment inspired by the pop of blue in the kettle.

This looks like grey card where I've white heat embossed the Altenew leaves but actually the grey card is covered with sticky back vellum I bought some weeks ago. Quite an interesting product... Will have to continue experimenting with it. I had a lot of air bubbles at first but I run the vellum covered card through my Cuttlebug and that took care of most of them. I kept this very simple, I think this might be  good masculine thank you card.

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us! Please head on over to the challenge blog for more DT inspiration!

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

HI friends!
Our challenge at Time Out this time is to use 2 or more embellishments with a twist of making a one layer card for your embellishments to be attached on. :) Birch Press Designs sponsors the challenge with a $20 voucher for the winner and our DT had super fun playing with one of their dies, Stitched Maple Circle Frame Die

I've used the die with an inlaid die technique and then also die cut out 3 separate leaves for embellishments + added some rhinestones to the embellishment leaves as well. The separate leaves are also inked with an ombre look. I love how this turned out! The sentiment is by Verve Stamps if I remember right.

Please have a look for our challenge blog for more inspiration from our DT members and talented guest designer Andrea! Thanks for popping by and happy crafting!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hello friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational, chosen by our lovely Kylie:

One of my favorite things is to add dimension to my card designs so this one was easy for me! :)
I played with stamps by Altenew I got to try from my friend Milla when she was visiting. The sentiment is also by Altenew from my own stash. The stencil I used for the background is by STAMPlorations, one of my favorite stencils if not THE favorite. I colored the images with Copics and added Stickles for detail. The flowers are arranged and popped up with different thickness of foam.

Please head on over to our challenge blog for more DT inspiration and all challenge details!

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at Time Out where we have a fabulous photo inspiration for you:

I was inspired by the pillow with floral pattern on grey base + all the gold accents in the photo. I colored the floral image by our sponsor Altenew with colored pencils and added gold water color splatters. I went over the lines of the image with very thin black pen to make them pop again after  the pencil coloring (the pencil coloring "sits" on top of the inked lines so you have to make them visible again after coloring either by re-stamping with a stamping tool or reinforcing the lines by hand as I did). The die cut sentiment is by MFT stamps.

Do head on over to our challenge blog for more DT inspiration and all the challenge details! Play along for a chance to win a prize and to be asked to join us as guest designer... This time our GD is the talented Bobby, one of our regular players! Great to have Bobby joining us!
