New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

At Time Out Challenges we have a unique photo challenge for you... In the photo you'll see a purse by Running Stitch Design... And the winner of the challenge will receive this purse as a prize! Make sure to click HERE for all the challenge details and lots of DT inspiration.

In my card I focused on the black background and white snowflakes... Along with red accents. I used mainly products by Honey Bee Stamps, apart from the sentiment die that comes from STAMPlorations. I dry embossed the Snowflakes 3d embossing folder for the background on black card and swiped white pigment ink on the raised areas to make the snowflakes pop. I then cut some flowers and branches from Mini Holiday Florals and placed them on top of a vellum oval, created with a die from Lovely Layers: Posted. The white frame is also cut with a die from the Posted set.

I hope you like and thank you for popping by!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm back with a DT card for Inkspirational, where we want to see you using stencils. Head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and lots of more DT inspiration! We also have an optional twist of "use paste" but I chose not to this time.

Creating this card was super easy although it did require some steps and drying time. The first step was debossing the Altenew florals with their 3d embossing folder on patterned paper that had random earthy colors on it. Next I did the "black out"-technique, where you swipe black ink on top of your debossed design so that what ever is debossed, shows clearly, and other areas turn black. I let this dry overnight. I then took a STAMPlorations stencil and stenciled the geometric pattern with white ink around the flower. I used Hero Arts white pigment ink which is the only white ink that I've been ably to get completely dry without setting it with anything... It does help setting the ink if you dry it with the heat tool in the beginning... But I anyway did let this one set for some hours before turning the panel over and attaching it to the card base.

I love how this turned out although it does have a melancholic vibe... I actually needed a sympathy card so I added a Finnish condolences sentiment to this, heat embossed on vellum. I keep thinking if it's too dark and not comforting enough for a sympathy card... But it is quite beautiful and has a tranquil feel. I want to try this method with more happy colors in the future!

I hope to see you playing along at Inspirational!

Reminder for Time Out Challenges

Hi friends!

I'm popping in with a quick post to remind you of our challenge at Time Out! We normally post winners every other Thursday, but due to our little Christmas break we had no winners to announce today... So we decided to remind you of the current challenge!

So, the challenge is NEW. You could use new products, play with a new technique, work around the theme New (like New baby or New Year)... Many possibilities here!

I decided to play with a new stamp. This image was designed for Creative Expressions by the talented Jane Beljo of Jane's Doodles. I love her work and can't wait to use all of the stamps I bought from this new line of hers!

I recently watched some old videos from Online Card Classes and there was a card that inspired this one -it also had a background made out of snippets and with some white embossed houses. This was quick and fun to make! I added a die cut sentiment by STAMPlorations.

New Challenge + DT Call at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for our new challenge at Time Out. This challenge doubles as a DT Call so make sure to check out all the details in our challenge blog HERE! Lots of wonderful inspiration from our talented guest designer Jennifer and our design team there too.

The challenge for the next fortnight is nice an easy Winter/Holiday!

I made a card focusing on stunning Pinpoint dies from our sponsor Birch Press Design. These dies have such a unique look! I instantly knew I wanted to make a shaker card. I love shaker cards, but I usually tend to have some shaker bits flying out even after all the taping and reassuring... and I get frustrated... But I think this time this is pretty sturdy lol! I do not know if I have courage to send it in mail though. :)

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hello friends!

I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational where we have a fun new topic for you: Clean and Simple with the optional twist of Sunshine and/or Rain. Clean and Simple means we hope to see plenty of white space (space that is "empty" or very clean looking) in your cards along with minimal layers. Usually CAS cards are also fast and simple to make.

My card was very fast and simple to make: I simply stamped a STAMPlorations image on Copic friendly card and colored it with my Copics and added little pencil detail with my Altenew woodless coloring pencils. A small image like this is very fast to color in -maybe 30-40 mins or so. Then I stamped and die cut my Altenew sentiment + adhered my panel to black base. Very CAS! :

New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

Hi friends!

I'm here with a super quick post sharing my DT card for the May AAA Birthday Challenge where we have a party going on! :) All details about the challenge and plenty of DT inspiration in our challenge blog.

In my card I've used a HA stencil with inks and glitter paste for a super sparkly, festive look. The STAMPlorations sentiment die tells you to Celebrate Big and that's what you do when you party, right! :)

I look forward seeing your projects for our challenge. Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Time Out. This time it's one of our Inspired by Words challenges and the quote is really cute, "happiness is a warm puppy"! You can be inspired by the whole sentiment or choose just one word or some words for your starting point.

This challenge is sponsored by Newton's Nook. Our winner also gets called to guest design in a future challenge and this time the winner is the amazing Ã…sa, one of our regular players! Do not miss any of the challenge details or DT inspiration, click HERE!

In my card I've used a Penny Black stamp as a focal point. I've colored my pups with copics. The background is made with "ink smooshing" technique -I've pressed inks on acetate, spritzed it with water and "stamped" with it. I've also used an anchor stencil by STAMPlorations and stenciled anchors with white pigment ink. The sentiment means happy birthday in Finnish. Hope you like and thank you for popping by!

New Challenge at AAA Birthday Cards!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT project for AAA Birthday Card Challenge where in the month of September we want to see something else than cards!

I have made a little bookmark with a die cut birthday sentiment that is loosely attached to the strings -the recipient can easily remove it and use this as a regular bookmark. This was fun to make! The heat embossed floral image is by Altenew, so is the slimline die, the dies I used for the hole come from Winnie and Walter. Sentiment by STAMPlorations. Attaching the wooden beads was a bit fiddly but I did succeed with them in the end! :)

Please head on over to our challenge blog with more DT inspiration and for all the information on how to play long. Thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the February challenge at AAA Birthday:

All the challenge details and lots of beautiful DT inspiration  HERE!

I decided to play with a die cut sentiment from STAMPlorations. Slimlines are great for having more space to create... so I had the possibility to both use this large sentiment and stamp a beautiful floral stamp by Waffe Flower twice! :) I colored the flowers with my Altenew markers and added detail with white gel pen and glitter pens. I've embellished the card with paint splatters and with some golden half-pearls. Hope you like and thanks for popping by! I look forward seeing your cards in our gallery!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
It's time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges and this fortnight it's a special one:

So, an important cause of breast cancer awareness is our theme this time. We ask you to make an encouragement card with an optional twist of adding pink which is the color for the ribbon for breast cancer awareness. Do remember regular check ups ladies!!

CAS-ual Fridays is sponsoring this challenge -they actually have many breast cancer related stamps in their store if you'd like to create cards or other projects with pink ribbons or other images related to the cause to help to raise awareness. They do have amazing uplifting sentiment stamps as well!

In my card I've used a large stamp by The Grey Muse Stamps and also added an extra sentiment by Altenew. I've colored the image with Copics and Altenew markers, die cut the image with a STAMPlorations die, added the extra sentiment (heat embossed) and clear drops and called it a day. The coloring of course takes some time but this card is super simple, a large image like this makes creating so easy!

I look forward seeing what you'll create for us. Our winner gets called to guest design for us -this time our GD is the fabulous Dhruvika (Cardogram) whose work I really admire! So -now it's your turn to take Time Out and craft! All the prize info, challenge details and more DT inspiration in our challenge blog HERE

I used two sets, Coffee Joy and In Bloom Floral Bliss (maybe discontinued since I didn't find this in the store) and created this card with some simple masking. The images are colored with Copics and I added some paint splatters and gold sequins to finish off the card.  Hope you like and thanks for popping by! Guest Designing at Flower Challenge -My Reminder Card!

Hi friends!

I'm the happy guest designer of the Flower Challenge in the month of May and am here with my second card for the May theme -Monochrome!

I went with blues this time. Blue is my favorite color so I had to choose that for my second monochromatic card!

This card has pretty much going on... The edges of the base card are stenciled with a geometric pattern (very hard to see this in the photo), the second layer is dry embossed and then die cut for creating the square window. The Newton's Nook flowers are colored in with Copics and pencils and then die cut.  I colored the white edges of the die cut flowers blue for even more blue look. :) The stamped sentiment is by Waffle Flower. I've finished the card with some splatters of shimmering pearly white gold paint and some clear drops.

I'd like to play along at:

Thank you for popping by and thank you Viv and all others from the Flower Challenge for the warm welcome! I truly enjoyed being a guest designer in this fabulous challenge!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

HI friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational and this time I was the lucky DT member that got to pick the theme... And I chose paint splatters! If you visit my blog often you'll know that I LOVE paint splatters - I add them to most of my cards. My favorite way to use them is to use them sparingly... And gold is one of my favorite colors to use. I use Gansai Tambi Starry Colors when I want to use gold. This card has lots of gold -I've heat embossed the Penny Black image with sparkling gold powder, water colored it, then splattered with gold paint (sparingly though!) and added a die cut greeting cut from gold card (by STAMPLorations) ... And I've even added gold sequins. :) Hope you like and thanks for popping by! Lots of more DT inspiration in our challenge blog

Guest Designing at Alex Syberia Design, Card Two!

Hi friends!
I'm back with my second guest designer card for Alex Syberia Design Digital Dtamps, this time using an image called Madame Dahila, another beautiful floral image from the new release!

As my card from yesterday, this is also colored in with Copics but on white Neenah card. I did add quite a lot of gel pen details as well.

The dark reds I used covered the original black outlines a bit too much to my taste so I went over with them with a black Memento marker. It was a bit scary but luckily I didn't mess anything up too badly lol!

Thanks for popping by, I'll be back tomorrow with my third card for the new release! I would like to thank Alex again for having me as a guest designer, this has been such an inspiring weekend, I have been admiring everyone's coloring sooooo much!! If you are an Instagram user, do check out #alexsyberiadesign so you'll know what I'm talking about! :)

Guest Designing at Alex Syberia Digital Stamps New Release!

HI friends!
I'm so delighted, happy and honored to be guest designing at Alex Syberia's new release this weekend, making cards with her new digital images! The new images are available in her shop now and here I'm sharing the first card I made with them. Two more cards to come, one tomorrow and one on Monday!

In my card today I've printed the Spring Frame image on kraft card and colored in with Copics. I've added details with gel pens and splattered little bit of white paint on the edges too because I seem to be addicted to doing so in almost all of my cards. :) The large die cut sentiment comes from STAMPlorations.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational:

I find it good to concentrate on beautiful, springy things as much as I can on this difficult time... And therefore decided to make a card that took several hours to stamp, mask to color in. :) I combined stamps by Stampendous (the flower) and Penny Black (just love that adorable girl!!) and colored the "scene" with Copics. I'm aware that these two stamps have completely different scale (some of the flowers are bigger than the girl's head!) but I had this vision of "lilliputian girl" from a fairytale in my head. Still can't really say if I pulled it off but I do love that girl image so much I can't stop looking at her!

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my reminder card for the current challenge at Time Out where we are celebrating our 6th birthday! Yayyy!

The theme is of course "Birthday". We are happy to be sponsored by our long time supporter STAMPlorations and I used only their stamps in the card that I created. This one took some time... But I do love the outcome, even more IRL... The day was not too good for taking photos. Anyway: I've randomly stamped flowers from Bloomdala Bliss  and colored them with Copics... Stamped and cut masks for all of them, masked them, and inked distress inks to the background. I've flicked water on it and also splattered white and gold paint. The white heat embossed sentiment comes from another STAMPlorations set, Pocket Blooms

I hope to see you playing along! Our winner gets an amazing $40 voucher to STAMPlorations store, wow! We'll also invite the winner to guest design for us. This time our GD is the very talented Christine. Thanks for popping by and I look forward seeing what you'll create!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
We have a new color challenge for you at Less Is More

I used a small flower stamp by Clearly Besotted and colored it in with our colors using Copics and pencils. I wanted to add some interest to the design and used a MFT die for that. The sentiment is simply stamped and is by STAMPlorations.

Sadly this will be my last challenge as a design team member of Less Is More. My work life keeps me pretty busy these days and cutting down design teams feels like the right thing to do. I've been enjoying my time at Less Is More SO MUCH and being selected to the team some years ago still feels like my greatest crafty achievement! Thank you to Sharon, Anita and the whole team for the wonderful crafting company and inspiration!

Thanks for popping by everyone and I hope to see you playing along at Less Is More... As I will in the future as well! :)

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the latest Less Is More challenge:

Use lots of small images/words/sentiments but keep the card CAS
how many small images/shapes are you able to incorporate to your design but still keep your card cas? For example tiny flowers, stars, snowflakes etc

We are continuing with our February sponsor Uniko. It's also the birthday month of Less Is More -full 10 years next year! :)

In my card I've used a Christmas stamp by our sponsor Uniko which is pretty perfect for the challenge theme! I've simply stamped it with Memento, colored the outline images with Copics and added some Wink of Stella and white gel pen details. The heat embossed sentiment is by STAMPlorations. Hope you like and thanks for popping by! Lots more DT inspiration in our challenge blog. :)
