New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

Hello friends!

I'm here with a new challenge for AAA Birthday where we are looking for your embossed birthday cards in December. I chose dry embossing in my card and used an Altenew embossing folder. I colored the embossed image using Copic markers and Altenew colored pencils. The sentiment is simply stamped with a sentiment from my stash -no idea of the maker! :) 

This is sadly my last challenge as a DT member at AAA Birthday but the challenge continues with fabulous new topics again at 2023! I hope to see you playing along! Happy crafting. xx

 

New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

I'm here with my DT card for AAA Birthday Card Challenges where our theme for November is Monochrome. 

I chose to work with shades of blue in my card and came up with a CAS design with feather dies from Gina K as focal point. I even went with a blue sentiment in stead of a black one to stay even more true to my monochrome blue palette! I've used distress inks for creating a little ombre panel where I die cut the feather... And then I also die cut it from navy card stock... And inlaid the ombre pieces.

New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

I'm here with my DT card for the October challenge at AAA Birthday. This month we want to see your favorite technique used in your birthday cards! 

In my card I've colored the Penny Black flower with Copics and colored pencils -definitely a favorite technique! Another favorite is using a stencil and textured paste -this is a new fave but I love all the cards I've made using this technique. Stencil and paper glaze by Picket Fence Studios.

I'm here with my DT card for the monthly AAA Birthday Card Challenge where we have a mood board for you for September. Remember this challenge is for birthday cards only! In my card I was inspired by the watercolor stripes and the cute pink flowers of the moodboard. I Copic colored a Rachel Vass digital stamp and inked a background with a Waffle Flower stencil. The sentiment by Stampendous is simply stamped. Basically it's a one layer card if you don't count the black card base! :) Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you playing along. New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

Hi guys!

I'm here with my DT card for AAA Birthday where we have an easy challenge for you: Anything Birthday goes! We have a bunch of new DT members too so don't miss any of the inspiration, fun or challenge details, click HERE.

My card is a trifold card I learned to make in Hero Arts Spring Stamp Along a while back. The card focuses on using HA Looking Glass dies, this is the Birthday Party set. The set consists of three layers that you can use together or separately. In my card two of the die cut scenes are stacked together (on the second leaf of the card) and one is cut to the front leaf. The card base is made out of two standard size card bases stacked together. Hope all of that makes some sense! :) I've colored the images with Copics and stamped sentiments by Stampendous.

New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

It's time for a new monthly challenge at AAA Birthday. For the month of July we have a fun and unique theme for you: "Where In the World" would you want to celebrate your birthday?!?

I've never visit tropic places or a jungle... So I chose a tropic/jungle theme for my birthday card! The leave stamps and dies are from Altenew, the frame die is by Hero Arts and sentiment by Stampendous. Love how gold and turqouise look together!

New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

Welcome to a new challenge at AAA Birthday Card Challenges where we have a fun an easy topic for June: Flowers. Remember we only allow birthday cards in our challenge!

My card is made with a super old stencil, no idea who is the maker of the it... I've used Karin markers for watercoloring the image. The sentiment is Finnish language and says "congratulating you". I've die cut my panel with Winnie and Walter rectangle dies. I kept the card very CAS to give all the attention to the beautiful flower!

New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

I'm here with a super quick post sharing my DT card for the May AAA Birthday Challenge where we have a party going on! :) All details about the challenge and plenty of DT inspiration in our challenge blog. 

In my card I've used a HA stencil with inks and glitter paste for a super sparkly, festive look. The STAMPlorations sentiment die tells you to Celebrate Big and that's what you do when you party, right! :)

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at AAA Birthday where the theme for the month of March is Under the Sea! Please remember we only allow birthday cards. :) In my card I've combined two digital elements: a background by Alex Syberia and turtles from Varada Sharma. My sentiment is by Stampendous. I've colored the turtles with Copics, masked them, and added a couple of distress ink shades to the background. I've splattered some water and paint on top for even more "under the sea" feel! New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

I'm here with my DT card for February's AAA Birthday Challenge where we want you to use pattern in your birthday cards!

I actually first created a card with paisley pattern for this challenge -paisley is maybe my favorite pattern of all times- and ended up not being able to use it... I was all silly and made the card into a friendship card! I realized my mistake only after it was all made: we only allow birthday cards in this challenge!! Oops. :) Do not make my mistake! :) In a way I'm surprised this was the first time I forgot in the whole year or so thatI've been a member at AAA Birthday. :) The first card is cute though and you can see it in my Instagram. 

The card you see here is made with a white heat embossed SSSS background image that I water colored with Karin Markers. Love the soft pastel feel of this, perfect for spring!

New Challenge and Micro Blog Hop at AAA Birthday!

The new challenge at AAA Birthday for January 2022 (yay for the new year!) is to create birthday cards with two of your favorite colors. I have many favorite combos but I decided to go with blue and green. I made my card using an Altenew stencil set "Playful Patterns" and combined that with sentiment stamps from SSS. A quick and easy card! 

The first challenge of the year is also part of a micro blog hop:

To celebrate the New Year, new beginnings and new blog colours AAA Birthday and AAA Cards are having a micro blog hop.

This autumn is just flying by and we are already at November!!! The first month of the month means that we have a new month long challenge beginning for you at AAA Birthday and this time we want to see birthday cards with animals! In my mini slimline card I've created a little CAS scene -apart from the added die cut heart embellies the card front is all one layer. This simple color palette is quite pleasing to the eye I think!

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at AAA Birthday Card Challenges where in the month of October we want to see you make slimline birthday cards! I used an Alex Syberia image called Autumn Bouquet as my focal point and colored it in with Copics and Altenew markers. I added lots of shine from Stickles and Wink of Stella! Some of my coloring did not really please my eye so I decided to add some die cut maple leaves (die by Poppystamps if I remember right!) to hide my errors lol! The background is inked after some simple masking and I've also splattered paint and added some gems. Hope you like and thanks for popping by! I look forward seeing you playing along!

New Challenge at AAA Birthday Cards!

I'm here with my DT project for AAA Birthday Card Challenge where in the month of September we want to see something else than cards! 

I have made a little bookmark with a die cut birthday sentiment that is loosely attached to the strings -the recipient can easily remove it and use this as a regular bookmark. This was fun to make! The heat embossed floral image is by Altenew, so is the slimline die, the dies I used for the hole come from Winnie and Walter. Sentiment by STAMPlorations. Attaching the wooden beads was a bit fiddly but I did succeed with them in the end! :)

New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

It's time for the June challenge at AAA Birthday Card Challenges. This month our theme is my absolute favorite: Flowers! I couldn't be happier about this theme lol! I used an AMAZING peony stamp by Picket Fence in creating my card. It's stamped with black memento on kraft card and colored with Copics, Altenew markers and pencils. The sentiment stamps come from Simon Says Stamp. I was inspired by the colors of the June SSS IG challenge -those of you using Instagram, do check it out!

AAA Birthday Challenge Reminder!

Hi friends!

After an over a month long blogging break I'm here today to remind you of our current challenge at 

AAA Birthday Challenge

where we look for shaped cards! 

I've been in a middle of moving house and starting a new household with my partner and his kids... Emptying and cleaning two flats and cleaning and organizing a 140 years old, almost 300 square meter house has been taking all my time! Anyway -here I am now and hope to get back to the swing of crafty things.

My card is a fun variation of the good old gatefold card. I followed this video tutorial. I don't often use patterned paper so this was a different make for me, very fun! The gorgeous floral image is by Pink Fresh Studio. I colored the image with Copics and added a birthday sentiment in Finnish by Korttipaja. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!
