New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational. Our challenge theme is chosen by my talented team mate Marlena and it is to use products from two or more different companies. Fun, right!!

If you follow me on Instagram you might be thinking that you already saw this card on Monday... and you are not completely incorrect!! This is a re-make of Monday's card with a different background stamp and a different sentiment. I got some requests to make a tutorial for the "faux letterpress with heat embossing" that I used for the flower and I'm currently working on a little video tutorial... So I naturally had to re-make the card for the tutorial. I then realized it would be pretty perfect for our challenge because the flower die is by Altenew, background stamp is by Catherine Pooler, sentiment comes from Hero Arts and if I remember right, the embossing folder for the background is by Spellbinders. So if you feel you already saw this... My apologies!! My video will be ready some time on Sat evening ( GMT) so if you are interested, do check it out from my Instagram HERE.

I hope to see you joining us at Inkspirational! Plenty of fabulous DT inspiration and all the challenge details in the challenge blog HERE

December Waffle Flower Challenge

Hi friends!
I'm here with a super quick post to share a card I made for the December challenge at Waffle Flower blog. This challenge is all about winter birthdays and the timing was perfect -I needed a card for my crafting buddy Milla , she celebrated her birthday on the 15th. All sorts of Christmas preparations have taken up my time so that I'm sharing my card here only now... But better late than never and at least the challenge is still running lol! So, I'm inspired of the theme of the first week of the challenge although the third week is already running. :) I'm using WF poinsettia stamps and dies along with a sentiment from another floral set. I've colored the images with a combination of Copics and Altenew markers. The background die is by Catherine Pooler and the oval is by SSS if I remember right. Hope you like and thank you so much for popping by! Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating! xxx

Christmas in July!

Hi friends!
Believe it or not, this is the second post in a row with a card just for fun for challenges! I love summer vacation!!! :) I used a wonderful poinsettia stamp and die set by Waffle Flower for the focal point of the card (also the sentiment comes from the same set) and then used a Catherine Pooler cover plate for the fun snowflake background -it has a retro feel, right? This WF poinsettia set is one of my best purchases from last year, a definite favorite in my stash. I colored the poinsettia with Copics and added some detail with gel pens and Wink of Stella. This card pleased my eye without any embellies or paint splatters so I just left those out this time! :)

This card is for:

Double Trouble Challenge: Christmas in July (no twist of bow for me!)

I hope you liked my card and thank you for popping by!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
We have a new Inspired by Words challenge for you at Time Out and this is the quote:

I was inspired by the words "she" and the concept of dreaming -the lovely lade in my Waffle Flower stamp certainly looks to be dreaming! Remember you can be inspired by the whole quote or just choose one word/some words for your inspiration. The winner of our challenge gets to guest design in a future challenge and wins a prize from our sponsor Newton's Nook -all challenge details in the challenge blog!  This time our GD is Bobby, one of our regular players and a super card maker!

In addition to the Waffle Flower stamps I used a Catherine Pooler background stamp in my card. Love the way these products combined! I stamped the background stamp with clear versafine ink for a monochrome look. The flower is colored with Copics and I simply decorated the card with a couple of sequins. Using this Waffle Flower stamp always makes me smile and makes me happy -I think I've never made a card I would not be happy with using this stamp!

I'd like to play along at:

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Time Out!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new Less Is More challenge! We have our one layer challenge for you so remember to use just one piece of cardstock folded in half! The theme of our one layer challenge this time is:

The month of January is sponsored by Skull and Cross Buns. Do play along in all of our January challenges for a change to be a monthly winner. You'll also be invited as a guest designer in a future challenge! This time our guest designer is the talented Jen, our October winner.

In my card I avoided the card centre by stamping my Catherine Pooler flower cluster twice so that it points to the centre but leaves it bare. I also stamped the sentiment (Altenew) to the corner of the card. The images are colored with Copics and I also added white gel pen accents. No extra embellies or anything to keep the CAS look of the card!

Hope you like and thanks for popping by. I hope to see you playing along!

I'd like to join:

CASology: Repeat (same stamp twice)

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

HI friends!
I'm here with my reminder card for the current challenge at Time Out where we challenge you to be:

This challenge is sponsored by Newton's Nook and I'm using their fabulous Peony Blooms stamps and dies in my card.

I've colored the peonies with Copics, die cut them and formed the card with the help of Marianne Design square dies. I just love these dies, the stitch is super detailed and I love how it's on both sides of the die cut edge! The sentiment, heat embossed with white powder, is by Catherine Pooler.

Please head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and more DT inspiration! This time the talented Shawna is our guest designer -play along and you could be called to guest design too! Thanks for popping by and happy crafting.

Two Cards for Challenges... Including Twofer Challenge! :)

HI friends!
I'm enjoying of a rare free week and have been making future DT cards... And then realized I would actually have time to create something for current challenges too. :) Twofer is one of my favorites because of it's challengeness (just invented a word I think lol) but I never find time to enter... And here I am today with two cards for the current Twofer #18 Garden

Let's have a look at both of my cards individually.

Card 1 Thank You

Also for:

Penny Black And More: Summer Colors (my 2nd entry)
Stamping Sensations: The Earth Laughs in Flowers (my 2nd entry)

I couldn't resist making another go with selective Copic coloring of my new Catherine Pooler Cottage Garden stamp... I used this also yesterday in my post for Time Out HERE. I've also used the same double-stitched square Marianne Design die than yesterday but the look of the card is very different I think since I used white instead of kraft this time. The sentiment is by Altenew.

Card 2 Thinking of You/Encouragement

Also for:

In this card I heat embossed the Cottage Garden stamp with white powder on black card. The Winnie and Walter hugs-die cur is heat embossed twice with gold powder -I must say I love the way this looks IRL!

Thanks for popping by friends and I hope you like these cards I created! I had such relaxing time creating cards just for fun and I even have time for more of this luxury tonight, yay! :)

Have a super weekend and thanks for popping by. xxx

Time Out Challenges Reminder

Hi friends!
I'm here today with my reminder card for the current Inspired by Words challenge at Time Out:

I was obviously inspired by the word 'Flowers'. :)

All the challenge details and inspiration from our fabulous GD Claire and our design team members HERE. We are thrilled to have Catherine Pooler sponsoring us with a $25 coupon to our winner!

In my card I used an amazing CP background stamp called Cottage Garden. I've stamped it on kraft card with black memento ink and partially colored it with Copics. I die cut a stitched square (Marianne Design) and added a sentiment strip. Hope you like!

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

HI friends!
I'm here to remind you ofo our current challenge at TIME OUT where we challenge you to be 'Uniqie'. This challenge is sponsored by Catherine Pooler Stamps and I had the great joy to play with their products. Love this Peace Love and Doves Background Stamp and I also used Dotted Circles Dies.

I think this stamp has such a unique look and I wanted to make it even more unique by adding color to it only partially. I cut out the circle and colored images in it with pencils and added lots of Stickles on top for extra festive look! The circle is popped up with fun foam for extra dimension. The die cut sentiment comes from Stamplorations. Hope you like and thanks for popping by! There's lots more inspiration from my team mates and our talented guest designer Elizabeth HERE.
