Guest Designing at AAA Cards!

Hi friends!
Today I have the great pleasure to be guest designing at AAA Cards! I was so pleased when Jane asked me to join in for this challenge, "Words Have Power". How true is that, right!!

I always think cards that have the main focus in sentiments are fun and this time I had a NBUS stamp waiting that was just perfect! These stamps come from CAS-ual Fridays and are just gorgeous. The three red colored flowers are from the same set. There's even words rock + love -this is just such a fun stamp set!

I colored the words in with grey Copics and added some additional color with red markers and white gel pen. I did very basic masking to stamp the three individual flowers behind the sentiment. After die cutting the decorative MFT border and adding some sequins my card was all finished! I love how this turned out!

I hope I've inspired you to play along. Thanks again AAA Cards for having me!

Read all about the challenge and HERE. I promise you you'll be inspired by the work of the AAA design team!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hello friends!

It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More! The next week we'd like you to craft based on this sketch:

I love the curves on the sketch! I ended up being a bit naughty with the sketch in both of my cards but let's have a look at them anyway! :) STAMPlorations is sponsoring the June challenges at Less Is More. Play along for a chance to win! Also, the LIM Design Team has fabulous samples for you in our challenge blog HERE. Don't miss any of them!

Now let's see what I made.

Card 1 Summer Flowers

Immediately after seeing this sketch I knew I wanted to play with patterned paper, the sketch seemed perfect for it! I decided to stretch the middle part of the sketch to get more white space -I did want to see how the card would look with patterned paper on both ends. I do like it! A bit naughty with the sketch though! ;) The hello-die is by STAMPlorations and the heat embossed friend-word is by MFT. I added some clear drops for shine. A very simple card!

Card 2  Christmas Flowers

More naughtiness happening here... This time the sentiment is not at all where it should be! Bad Nonni! However... I do like this card too! Looks like I'm enjoying being rebellious! Let's hope my LIM bosses won't sack me. I promise to sit on a naughty step if that helps!

I've used my favorite snowflake die along with a curve edge die, patterned paper, MFT sentiment stamp and one single black half-pearl. The black sentiment looked very lonely being the only black thing so I added the pearl to keep company to the sentiment! The white panels are piped up with fun foam for extra dimension.

The poinsettia patterned paper comes from a stack I won from ABC Christmas Challenge and I'm happy to play along again with this card! The current challenge is M= More Than One and I have more than one flower + more than one curve! I'd also like to join:

Thanks for popping by everyone and I hope to see you joining us!

Guest Designing at Color Throwdown!

Hi friends!
Today I have a great pleasure today to be guest designing at Color Throwdown! I love their color combos and am thrilled to join in as GD in this challenge. The color combo is above -so fresh and full of life. Perfect for floral cards!

In my card I used a wonderful flower stamp by The Ton. I've just got it and I think it must be new favorite! So beautiful details and such pretty flowers. I've colored the flowers in with Copics. The sentiment is from a Clearly Besotted set. I didn't want a completely white bg this time so I've used lightly patterned paper to cover the card base + striped patterned paper to "ground" the stamped panel. This card is screaming for some bling but I made this parted from most of my crafting stash... No sequins, rhinestones, enamel dots, nothing like that on hand! My stash has already travelled to my summer home and I'm following tomorrow -I'm looking forward to a happy re-union! :)

Thank you again Lori and Color Throwdown for inviting me to join in!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
Another summer week flew by and we have a new Less Is More Challenge for you! This one is quite fun and special, it's a theme "Personalise It". How will you interpret this? From our challenge blog you'll see many fun ways to join in, the Less Is More design team is as inspirational as it always is! Our guest designer in this challenge is Lucie from Luciecards. She has wonderful sense for CAS, don't miss her work but follow her in Instagram!

I made my card for my friend Sandie. I was visiting her a couple of weeks ago and handed this to her in person with a small gift. The white letters are stickers out of foam material so this card is quite dimensional: the card front is popped up with fun foam too because I seem to have a problem with attaching card fronts flush with the card base... There always has to be some space in between! I think this might be an obsession of mine!  I attached the stickers on the card front where I had stenciled some fishtail patterns through a circle mask. I used couple of ink colors for the ink blending. I die cut a border for added interest and added some clear drops for sparkle and shine.

I hope you'll now head on over to our challenge blog and join us! In June we are sponsored by STAMPlorations. Play along for a chance to win! :)

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for Inkspirational! We are inspired by this gorgeous photo:

Our DT along with our fabulous guest designer Lynda have great samples for you, don't miss them, click HERE!

In my card I've used stamped and die cut Altenew flowers for my focal point. I made a simple card using just one strip of purple cardstock on my card base to "mount" my flowers on. I also used some clear drops for "water drops" :) The sentiment is by Altenew too.

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

TIME OUT Challenges Reminder

Hi friends!
I'm here to share my DT card for the current TIME OUT Challenge where we are inspired by the gorgeous photo below!

We are sponsored by Happy Little Stampers. All the details and prize info is one click away in the challenge blog! :)

Our talented guest designer Ashwini and regular DT members have more inspiration for you in the challenge blog too so that's the place where to hang out right now! I loved Ashwini's colorful floral card.

In my card I've used stamps by Clearly Besotted Stamps that came free with a magazine one hundred years ago. Just an estimate. ;) The leaves are stamped first with green ink and then partly re-stamped with dark grey ink for shading -I used my MISTI so this was very easy to make. The flower is colored in with Copics and I added some white gel pen details too. Very simple and quick card!

I hope to see you joining in TIME OUT Challenges, happy crafting!

New Challenge at Less Is More: One Layer Sweet Things!

Hello friends!
It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More! This week we are making one of my favorites, one layer cards. It can sometimes be a challenge to make them look interesting and I don't always succeed with them... But they are fun to make and easy to mail! :)

Two weeks ago I told you I'd be showing only one single DT sample for you for the almost whole month of June but if you have a look at this post you'll see I have 3 cards for you... So it looks like I was lying! ;) I didn't intend to though. I stamped my second and third card when visiting blog friends Sandie and Marina in England last week and colored them in with Copics when back at home. Let's have a look at all the cards now... Click the photos larger for closer look of the details!

Card 1 : Strawberries (above)

I think a card can't get much more CAS than this! :) I used linen card for card base which gives a more "expensive" look and then stamped my Clearly Besotted Stamps greeting and Papersmooches strawberries on it with the help of MISTI stamping tool. I added Wink of Stella to the leaves of the strawberries and this card was ready in less than 5 minutes! Mind you that before this 4 or 5 cards with different kind of strawberry designs went to the bin. ;)

Card 2: Ice Cream
This card I stamped at Sandie's using Technique Tuesday stamps she had received from Marina as b-day gift -a fun connection because I had just been to Marina's! I also die cut a stitched line with a border die from Paper Smooches. At home I colored this in with Copics using color palette from Color Throwdown  (I hope the addition of brown is ok, it's a neutral so I thought it's alright!) and added different shades of Stickles for "frosting".

In addition to Color Throwdown, I'd like to join ModSquad Challenge: Spark it Up

Card 3: Pear
This was stamped at Marina's using her stamp set -Marina, if you are popping by and commenting, I wonder what the company was, I can not remember! I also stenciled some dots to the background for added interest. At home I colored this in with Copics and added some white gel pen and Stickles details. This image was actually in a Christmas set but I think it works ok for a non-Christmas theme too!

That's all from me today friends. I'd now like you to head on over and visit my DT buddies for more inspiration. Don't forget STAMPlorations is sponsoring the month of June, only way to win is to play along! ;)

June Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers

Hello friends!

It's time for a new monthly Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers

Our theme for the month of June is Anything Christmas Goes with the Optional Twist of Trees. The HLS Christmas design team has made fab samples for you, don't miss any of them, click HERE!

My card is very simple. I've used stamps by the Greeting Farm. I lightly inked a snowbank and stamped my tree + the sentiment. After that I splattered white and gold "snow" all over with paintbrush and paint. I added a golden die cur star to the top of the tree -I know it's not an all in proportion of the tree but I though it looked fun and whimsical! I finished the card with die cutting a decorative border with MFT die. I attached the panel to a dry embossed green bg and attached the role thing to a card base. I love all the small details and the shining, golden splatters!

Thanks for popping by, I hope to see you joining us this month!

New Challenge at Less Is More: Neapolitan!

Hi friends,
we have a new challenge for you at Less Is More! It's our color challenge week and this week we'd like to see a trio of brown, pink and white in your cards!

When this challenge goes live I'm enjoying London with my wonderful friend Sandie from London Days! We two have met several times IRL already and I'm always so happy to meet my favorite crafty girl! If you don't know Sandie (probably impossible!), do pop by her blog and have a look at her CAS cards. You'll be inspired!

Anyway, back to the challenge:

Mmmm.. Neapolitan ice cream! By the way I had no idea it's called like this. :) Every day you learn something new!

I made a simple, quick card with a die cut panel (W+9 stamps), stamped sentiment (Clearly Besotted Stamps) + a bird die cut. I bought this birdie from a second hand table in a crafting event for 2 euros! What a bargain! I think she will be especially cute for baby cards. I cut her wing from patterned paper to add the third color and some extra interest to my card + scattered clear sequins here and there for sparkle.

The month of June is sponsored by one of my favorite companies, STAMPlorations. I'd love you to go and have a look at their inspirational challenge blog and their store filled with fantastic stamps, dies and stencils! STAMPlorations owner and designer Shery is joining us at LIM as a guest designer in this challenge. She makes the most fantastic mixed media CAS cards! Don't miss her inspiration or the cards by our DT, click HERE

I hope to see you playing along at Less Is More! Thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at Inspirational

Hi friends!

I came to London already on Wednesday and also spent one day with Inkspirational "boss" Marina from My Perfect Life. Her card making style is so admirable also... She does magic with her Silhouette and is a master in combining different styles of stamps and styles! How lucky I am to have such blogging buddies! Do go and visit both of their blogs!

Anyway, I'm here today with my DT card for the new Inkspirational challenge, chosen by our wonderful Carol:

My original idea was to attach the darker, die cut panel to the other half of the card base and let the Copic colored Lawn Fawn flowers "hang" on top of a cut out window. Well... It seemed like a good idea until I realized my Copic coloring had naturally bled to the other side of the card I used and the card looked hideous! I had to ditch my plan and in lay the cut out window... So actually I don't even have a window. Not a very good DT card I'm afraid! Do forgive me! I do love how the coloring turned out and the natural colors of this card look quite pleasing for the eye too... So I hope this will distract you from the fact that I don't have a real window. ;) I finished the card with a white heat embossed sentiment (magazine freebie) and clear sequins. Hope you like! Do head on over to Inspirational blog to have a look of the other DT cards. Our guest designer this time is the very talented Pam Sparks. Play along and one day you could be guest designer for us too! Happy crafting!

June CAS Challenge at Happy Little Stampers!

Hello friends!
It's time for a new monthly CAS Challenge at Happy Little Stampers. Sadly this will be my last challenge in this team but I want to thank Kylie and my HLS teamies for inspiration and wish everyone all the best for the future!

Our theme for the month of June is smooshing. This inking technique can look stunning but can be a bit tricky too! There's several tutorials on this in youtube if you are not familiar with this technique. The HLS CAS design team has made fab samples for you, don't miss any of them, click HERE!

I used two colors of distress inks for my smooshing. I did it several times but kept on being unhappy with the washed out colors so I ended up sponging those same ink colors on top of the smooshing through a stencil by STAMPlorations. This look I liked and I love how this turned out in the end! I stamped a sentiment from HLS Simply Said Stamp Set and added a couple of small sequins to embellish the card.

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Happy Little Stampers

I'd like to join:

CAS on Sunday: Repetition image
Simon Says Monday Challenge: We are going around in circles
City Crafter: Out of this world
(I think my patterned smooshed bg could be either a galaxy or a starry sky!)

TIME OUT Challenge Reminder

Please click the photo larger for closer look of white + gold paint splatters and coloring/gel pen details!

Hello friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current TIME OUT Challenge, where we are inspired by words:

'Flowers and Friends make life a garden'

We are sponsored by STAMPlorations and had the great pleasure to play with STAMPlorations stamps once again -STAMPlorations owner and designer Shery is just so generous to us, thank you! I used a dogwood flower stamp, buy it HERE.

I stamped the dogwood flower multiple times and then colored it in with Copics. I masked all the flowers and inked the bg softly with grey ink. I then splattered some white and gold paint on it from very far away (I did this on my bathroom floor!) to make sure I get very small droplets. After removing the masks I added some white gel pen details + heat embossed the sentiment. Some clear sequins and this card was ready to go!

I'd like to join:
Addicted to CAS: Graduation (=new beginning)
(I hope I have enough white space!)

Stamp Ink Paper: Graduation (=new beginning)

Please head on over to TIME OUT blog to see more DT cards made with STAMPlorations products, I promise you you'll be inspired! Our guest designer this time is Michelle from I Card Everyone whose work I absolutely admire.

Thanks for popping by! Now it's your turn to take TIME OUT and craft!
