New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where we challenge you to be Fashionable for the next fortnight! This challenge is sponsored by AALL& Create and the post is filled with DT inspiration using their products. All the challenge details and lots of card eye candy HERE!

I've used a stamp called Le Parfum by AALL & Create in my card. Fashionable ladies and gentlemen often use perfume, right! A scent finishes off the "look"! I've colored the image with Copics and colored pencils and added some paint splatters. The image is very detailed so I wanted to keep the card pretty CAS. The sentiment by CAS-ual Fridays (sadly no longer in business) is great for the theme I think -expressing your personality with fashion can be very empowering!

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you playing along!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for Inkspirational where we have one of our Designer's Choice challenges for you. This time I had the honor of choosing our theme and I chose

DOTS AND STRIPES

So make sure your project has BOTH when entering our challenge this fortnight!

I wanted to continue working on my Christmas cards for 2023 (this was only the second one I've made so  far!) and I used dotted + striped patterned paper for creating my poinsettia, cut with an Altenew die. This poinsettia is so large and fun that it really is all what a card needs so this came together rather quickly! I did add some inking to the paper edges for additional depth and paint splatters for "snow".

I'm also entering:

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT post for Time Out where we are celebrating the World Book Day for the next fortnight!

"The enjoyment of reading books is celebrated on World Book Day on April 23 in over 100 countries, and  on the first Thursday in March in the UK. It’s a day to celebrate the privilege of being able to read, so head to the library or curl up on the couch and just be a bookworm!"

The Challenge runs from April 13th to April 26th.

We are generously sponsored by Newton's Nook DesignsChallenge winner will receive a $25.00 store credit and an invitation to Guest Design with us at Time Out for a future challenge. This time our guest is Trina P who is a wonderful CAS card maker and amazing colorist. Do not miss her card or any of the DT inspiration and challenge details, click HERE!

In my card I've used Newton's Nook stamp set called Newton's Book Club along with stencils from Altenew, Jane's Doodles and Create a Smile. I wanted to create a sort of 80's inspired pattern that could appear in a sweatshirt or a hoodie... And I LOVE how this turned out! I want a print shirt like this now lol! I could have been working straight on a card base and could have made this into a one layer card, but I really like the added dimension from using fun foam under the focal point panel.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hello friends!

I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational where we have a fun new topic for you: Clean and Simple with the optional twist of Sunshine and/or Rain. Clean and Simple means we hope to see plenty of white space (space that is "empty" or very clean looking) in your cards along with minimal layers. Usually CAS cards are also fast and simple to make.

My card was very fast and simple to make: I simply stamped a STAMPlorations image on Copic friendly card and colored it with my Copics and added little pencil detail with my Altenew woodless coloring pencils. A small image like this is very fast to color in -maybe 30-40 mins or so. Then I stamped and die cut my Altenew sentiment + adhered my panel to black base. Very CAS! :

Inkspirational Challenges Reminder!

 Hi friends!

I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at Inkspirational where we have a very inspiring moodboard for you, have a look:

I chose the turqouise eggs and magnolia/apple tree branches (don't really know if they are that but that's my interpretation lol!) as my starting point. I created an oval mask with an oval die to create the turqouise "base" for my stamped (and masked) branch. I also splattered some gold paint to make my "egg" match the ones in the photo even better. After inking the background I removed the masks and colored the branch image with Copics.  The sentiment is simply stamped and means something like "joy and light for you" in Finnish language.

The branch is by Clearly Besotted stamps and it is a very old stamp in my stash... In the beginning of March I chose 4 old stamp sets I wanted to work with in March (I used random.org for choosing, it was quite fun!) and this stamp was one of the four -perfect for this challenge! :) In addition to this stamp I only managed to work with one other of the four sets that random.org chose for me... Actually my previous Ink card used the Waffle Flower stamps was the second one! Anyway -I'll need to make those 2 remaining randomly chosen stamp sets work for me in April because I didn't reach my goal in March lol! :) Luckily this is my own game so I can bend the rules. :)

Make sure to head on over to our challenge blog for lots of more DT inspiration and all the challenge details.
