New Challenge at Time Out!

 Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where our last challenge of the year is "New". The challenge is sponsored by Uniko with a stamp set for our winner! We also call our winners to guest design for us and this time our guest is the CAS superstar Chrissie. We also have two amazing new DT members, Nancy and Aarthi... Click HERE to visit the challenge blog to meet all these ladies and to be inspired!! All challenge and prize details there too.

I've used a new (to me) Penny Black image and also the teal Copic combo for the vase is new... Also I think I've never used exactly this kind of card layout in a square card so I'll call that new too! The panel behind the flower image is a water colored panel I made months ago. I added interest by die cutting a SSS heart shape. Sentiment die is by Altenew.

I'd like to join:

December Waffle Flower Challenge

Hi friends!
I'm here with a super quick post to share a card I made for the December challenge at Waffle Flower blog. This challenge is all about winter birthdays and the timing was perfect -I needed a card for my crafting buddy Milla , she celebrated her birthday on the 15th. All sorts of Christmas preparations have taken up my time so that I'm sharing my card here only now... But better late than never and at least the challenge is still running lol! So, I'm inspired of the theme of the first week of the challenge although the third week is already running. :) I'm using WF poinsettia stamps and dies along with a sentiment from another floral set. I've colored the images with a combination of Copics and Altenew markers. The background die is by Catherine Pooler and the oval is by SSS if I remember right. Hope you like and thank you so much for popping by! Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating! xxx

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

It's time for the second last challenge of 2021 at Time Out! This time we have chosen a pretty wide theme: Inspiration.

The challenge is sponsored by Newton's Nook! Play along for a chance to win a gift voucher and to be called to guest design for us! This time our talented GD is Cindy and she has made the cutest wintry card for us. Don't miss Cindy's card, all the challenge details and more DT inspiration, click HERE

My card was inspired by a card by the owner and designer of Heidin Korttipaja, a Finnish company whose sentiment die I'm also using in this card. She had done such fun inking on the sentiment die to match her card panel that I just had to try it out! Loved the sparkly snowflakes on her card too. Have a look at the card at Instagram:

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Time Out!

Cards for Waffle Flower November Challenge!

Hi friends!

I'm here to share three cards I made for the "Most Wonderful Time" challenge that is running for the month of November at Waffle Flower blog. It's the second week of the challenge where we are encouraged to use non traditional holiday colors... And I think my two first cards fit that category very well! The die I'm using is called "Winter Floral Panel Die".  Along with the die I'm using different kinds of glitter/mirror card stocks combined with regular card.

Card 1

Red and pink glittery mirror card.... And sparkly black card stock. This card has quite a bit of dimension, all the colorful bits are raised.

Card 2
Rainbow glitter mirror card with regular purple and green card. Quite a bit of dimension in the flower again!

Card 3
In this card I've used the same pink and red card for the flower than in the first one -just the opposite pieces. No fancy glitter card wasted! :) In this the pieces are inlaid so it will be very easy to mail!

I'm also joining:

Hope you like and thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at AAA Birthday Card Challeges!

Hi friends!

This autumn is just flying by and we are already at November!!! The first month of the month means that we have a new month long challenge beginning for you at AAA Birthday and this time we want to see birthday cards with animals! My penguins are technically birds hmmm... But part of the animal kingdom, right? :) Please head on over to our challenge blog for more DT inspiration and all the challenge details.

In my mini slimline card I've created a little CAS scene -apart from the added die cut heart embellies the card front is all one layer. This simple color palette is quite pleasing to the eye I think!

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you playing along in our challenge!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where for the next fortnight we are inspired by "Down to Earth". There's alaso an optional twist to use kraft card and all the entrants that have chosen the optional twist have the chance to win a gift voucher to our sponsor Alex Syberia! Alex Syberia makes amazing digital stamps and cut files.

I used an Alex Syberia image Autumn Leaves Frame, colored it with Altenew markers, cut a window to it and and made my card into a shaker. The sentiment comes from Altenew. My inspiration comes from fall time: during autumn the ground in Finland is covered with leaves that have fallen down from the trees -lots of raking for us house owners lol! The fallen leaves would have beautiful earthy tones in real life but in my card I decided to play with lots of color. It's soon the darkest time of the year and I wanted make something that would be very cheerful and uplifting!

Thank you for popping by and now it's your turn to take time out and craft. xx

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where the next fortnight we are focusing on Breast Cancer Awareness. Our challenge is for you to make a friendship and/or encouragement card. The optional twist is to use Pink in your card.

We take breast cancer awareness very seriously. Early detection of Breast Cancer is the key and it is advised to do a self exam-check every month. You can check out this link for more info on self exams or just more information about Breast Cancer in general -
 here.

Our design team will also vote for another winner who gets to join us as guest designer in a future challenge.  Our GD this time is the very talented Natasa. Don't miss her card or any of the DT inspiration, click HERE

In my card I've used a background stamp by CAS-ual Fridays and all other products by Waffle Flower Crafts. The sentiment and background are heat embossed with white powder, the leaves are simply stamped and copic colored.

Now it's your turn to take time out and craft! I look forward seeing what you'll create! Thank you for stopping by. xxx

New challenge at AAA Birthday Card Challenges!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at AAA Birthday Card Challenges where in the month of October we want to see you make slimline birthday cards! Alex Syberia is our sponsor in this challenge and many DT members are playing with her amazing digis and cut files. All the challenge and prize details along with lots of DT inspiration HERE!

I used an Alex Syberia image called Autumn Bouquet as my focal point and colored it in with Copics and Altenew markers. I added lots of shine from Stickles and Wink of Stella! Some of my coloring did not really please my eye so I decided to add some die cut maple leaves (die by Poppystamps if I remember right!) to hide my errors lol! The background is inked after some simple masking and I've also splattered paint and added some gems. Hope you like and thanks for popping by! I look forward seeing you playing along!

I'd like to play along:

Guest Designing at Waffle Flower September Fall Favorites Challenge!

Hi friends,

today I have a very special post for you! I have the great joy to join the creative, talented folks at Waffle Flower as a guest designer for week 4 of their September Fall Favorites challenge. This week we are showing projects related to Halloween!

If you are new to Waffle Flower's monthly Challenges, here's how they run: The challenges always have an overall main theme (for example now in September it's Fall Favorites). The design team encourages you to think outside the box and add different kinds of twists to your projects.  Each week there's inspiration in the blog highlighting one of the twists. There's only one link tool for the whole month so you can create your cards inspired by all of the twists during the whole month and add them to the linky as the month proceeds. I really love this original and inspiring way this challenge runs! Here are the suggested twists for September:

- shaker cards
- fall color themes
- leaves
- use an iconic fall image for 3 or more times on a card.
- Halloween
- Fall drinks
- harvest time

click HERE to have a look at the Challenges at Waffle Flower blog.

I made two inspiration cards for you:

Card 1
Shaker card with Halloween colors

In this card I used the whimsical Fall Dreams stamp along with the co-ordinating die and created a fall card with Halloween colors! I also thought Halloween is such playful time that why not make a shaker card just for fun! :) I've water colored my images with distress inks.

Card 2
Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins!

Would you say pumpkin is one of the most iconic Halloween decor items? To me it is! :)  I used the stamp set Pumpkin House both for the stamped background and for the distress ink water colored image. I added paint splatters to embellish the background and covered the pumpkin house with Wink of Stella for sparkle.

Please head on over to the Challenges at Waffle Flower blog and have a look at more inspiration by Dana and Arjita for Week 4: Halloween... Along with inspiration for weeks 1-3 of the September Fall Favorites challenge! You'll love what you see and want to play along for sure!!

Thank you for popping by and a huge thank you to Sunshine and Arjita at Waffle Flower for inviting me as guest designer and making me feel very welcome!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
I'm here today with my DT card for new challenge at Time Out where we are inspired by this beautiful quote and these words:

You can be inspired by the whole quote (maybe make an encouragement card for example) or just choose one word/ some words as your starting point. I went the obvious route for me and chose flowers to color in! :) I worked with a cute poinsettia stamp by our sponsor Altenew. Me and my wonderful DT buddy (and IRL buddy too, we have met once!) Jill created our cards together in a fun crafty zoom session -we have had a couple of those and it's a very nice way to craft with a friend + connect with someone who is far, far away from you. Highly recommend!

In my card I've heat embossed the poinsettia image several times with gold and copper powders and water colored them with water colors. I was playing with a small set of White Nights watercolor that I bought locally -it's super pigmented and I have trouble moving it around -I think I need to try different paper. However I do love the strong, rich colors they create! Please head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge information and more DT inspiration too. After that: Happy crafting! xx

I'm joining:

Stamping Sensations: Favorite Stamp
I've had an eye on this stamp since receiving a Christmas card with it a couple of years ago (from Jill actually!) and it was on sale this fall in a Finnish web shop... I had to have it and I absolutely love it! also the sentiments in the set are super.

Guest Designing at Uniko Challenge!

Hi friends!

I'm here today with a guest design card for Uniko Sept/Oct Challenge. Very fun to be guest designing for them! I love Uniko products, they are such high quality, and this UK based company has a very inspiring design team. Do not miss the fun and inspiration, click HERE!

This time the challenge is Anything Goes with the optional twist of fall colors -I totally went that road! :)

I've used English Country Garden butterfly stamps along with a background stamp called Mid Century Modern. This card is very much inspired by the previous card I posted... I've used the same techniques of masking, stamping and drawing a frame. My coloring is done with Copics and I've also added a lot of sparkle to the butterflies with glitter pen and Wink of Stella. The sentiment is by Altenew.

With my card I'd like to join:

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Uniko!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for our new challenge at Time Out where we challenge you to be Brave!

This challenge is sponsored by Funky Fossil Designs and our winner receives a £15 voucher to their store. Our winner is also invited to join in as a guest designer in a future challenge. This time our GD is Rahmat, one of our regular players. Don't miss her amazing card and all the DT inspiration and challenge info, click HERE!

In my card I've used stamps and stencil by Funky Fossil Designs. I super love how this turned out! I've stamped the bees first, masked them... Then stenciled the honeycomb design and then stamped the geometric shapes. The bees are quickly colored with Copics and I've added a lot of Stickles to their wings! The sentiment is heat embossed with white powder on black card. I thought "use your wings" is pretty much a synonym to "be brave". :)

I'd like to join:

Thank you for popping by and happy crafting!

New Challenge at AAA Birthday Cards!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT project for AAA Birthday Card Challenge where in the month of September we want to see something else than cards!

I have made a little bookmark with a die cut birthday sentiment that is loosely attached to the strings -the recipient can easily remove it and use this as a regular bookmark. This was fun to make! The heat embossed floral image is by Altenew, so is the slimline die, the dies I used for the hole come from Winnie and Walter. Sentiment by STAMPlorations. Attaching the wooden beads was a bit fiddly but I did succeed with them in the end! :)

Please head on over to our challenge blog with more DT inspiration and for all the information on how to play long. Thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends! It's time for a new challenge at Time Out! This time it is a photo inspiration where you can for example see an amazingly cute bag (i just love that fabric!!) that our DT member Kim has made. We are letting you know about her amazing store RunningStitchDesign and you could win the bag in the photo if you are DT's favorite!! I hope to see you all playing along!

We are enjoying of creativity of two guests this time: Nathalie/Wonderingwabbit shares her amazing pencil art with us and Sandie, co-founder, design team member and former super leader of Time Out is joining us as well with her always stylish CAS style! Good times!

In my card I was inspired by the abstract looking "blob of color" in the middle of the bag -somehow it reminded me of a feather! I used two feathers that I had die cut from a watercolored panel. I used baby blue base which in the photo looks very dark... But I assure you it's more closer to the colors of the photo IRL! This photo has a lot to do with creativity so this Altenew sentiment seemed perfect, heat embossed with white powder. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!
