New Challenge at Inkspirational!

 Hi there!

I'm here with my DT card for Inkspirational Challenges, where we want you to use stencils during the next fortnight! There's an optional twist to use layereing stencils too. All details and lots of more inspiration in our blog HERE.

The background stencil I've used comes from Pinkfresh. I thought it had a feel of a christmassy table cloth so I combined it with a holly stamp by Hero Arts. The sentiment comes from the same HA set. The image is colored with Copics and I also added white gel pen and Stickled for the berries. White paint splatter finishes off the card -I seem to be addicted to it. :)

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

Card for Time Out Challenges!

Hi friends!

I'm sorry to be a couple of days late with my DT card for Time Out... I was away from home and couldn't upload my card before leaving. Anyway -now I'm back and here's what I made! :)

For the next fortnight we are inspired by this photo:

I was inspired by several things in the photo:

-color scheme
-font style in in the sentiments
-a golden bird
-"holes" in the storage wall

Can you spot all the that in my card? :)
I've used dies from Lawn Fawn and Simon Says (for the sentiment)

Do head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and lots of more DT inspiration.

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hello friends!

I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where we have a fun fairytale quote for your inspiration! You can be inspired by the whole quote or choose just one word/ some words for your starting point.

"If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales." ~ Albert Einstein.

I used stamps by our wonderful sponsor AALL & Create for my card. I did some simple masking to create my scene and after stamping and sponging some blue ink to the background I colored the images with Copics and pencils. I finished the card with some gold paint splatters. Hope you like and I hope to see you joining us!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

Our new challenge at Inkspirational is a fun one: Christmas in July! If you haven't begun with your X mas cards for 2023 yet... Now is the time! Summer can also be a busy time so creating something CAS as I've done here could be a good option. I've used a Hero Arts stamp set foe the leaf image and sentiment, both heat embossed with gold powder. I've then added quick coloring to the leaves with colored pencils. This card took under 30 mins to make and I quite like the simple, easy to mail design! I hope to see you joining us!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges. The next fortnight our challenge is Funny!

Lawn Fawn is the sponsor of this challenge. I had the most fun playing with their apple barrel builder dies and sentiment stamp and die combo from Ready, Set, Snow stamp and die set. I knew I wanted to play with the apple dies so I googled for a funny sentiment related to apples... And found this joke. I thought it was hilarious! :) I dig out some Christmas tree paper but then realized I had no pineapple stamps in my stash (I know, can you believe it?!?) so I bought some very affordable digital fruit images from Etsy for making my pineapple paper. I colored the pineapples with Copics. I printed out the joke and put all the elements together for a very fruity Christmas card! :)

Please head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and lots of more DT inspiration! Play along and you could be invited to join us as guest designer -this time one of our regular players, the amazingly talented Claire joins us as guest.

Now it's your turn to take Time Out and craft! xx

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
Our new challenge at Inkspirational is "emboss your background". You can use embossing folders or heat embossing, both will do! Thank you my DT buddy Julia for choosing this fun topic!

I used a striped embossing folder for my background. After embossing it I masked the raised arias one by one as I went and inked the "valleys". The dies I'm using come from Honey Bee Stamps and I LOVE them -this is my first time using them. Also sentiment is by Honey Bee Stamps. We don't have possibility to buy Honey Bee here in Finland and when visiting US in May I did order these dies, a beautiful floral stamp set and orchid dies from them. Can't wait to try the other products too!

I began with die cutting the pieces from white Neenah and sponged ink to them with Altenew dye inks. I guess I could have used colored card stock and shade that but decided go the hard way lol. :) Love the soft look though! The "basket" is a half circle die by MFT -I stamped a little checker pattern to it to make it more basket looking and also used some ink sponging and shading to add to the more textured look. Not a perfect basket but good enough! I'll confess this card took ages to make with all the masking, sponging, inking, shading, stamping... All the works. But I'm very happy with it!

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

Inkspirational Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at Inkspirational: Seasonal

You can pick any season you want. I went with winter and holiday season and made a little Christmas card to my stash! I've used a Waffle Flower stencil along with sentiment die from SSS to create this card. Love how it turned out! Do head on over to our challenge blog for plenty of inspiration from our design team.

I'm joining:
The Flower Challenge: Your favorite flower (Poinsettia is no doubt my favorite flower when it comes to winter flowers and I have quite a collection of poinsettia stamps, dies and stencils lol!)
