New Challenge at Inkspirational!

 Hi friends!

I'm back with another DT card for Inkspirational. I unfortunately had to skip a couple of challenges... Real life with work, some travels and also with Christmas preparations was simply too overwhelming and I couldn't find energy for creativity... But now it's good to be back and I'm happy how my card turned out! :)

The next fortnight we are inspired by this fun moodboard:

I was inspired by the overall colors, the black and white "love", the feathers, and one of the geometric patterns that you see in the middle of the right edge of the moodboard.

The background is made with sponging white pigment ink on black card stock, stencil by Funky Fossil Designs. The feathers are cut with a Gina K dies from white glitter card stock. Sentiment is simply stamped and die cut, the stamp comes from Pinkfresh Studio.

Do head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and lots of more DT inspiration! I look forward seeing what you'll create.

Inkspirational Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!

I'm here with a fun summery card for Inkspirational where our current challenge is "Seasonal"!

Christmas/Holiday would have ben the obvious season to choose... But I wanted to play with a Marianne Design kit that I had recently purchased so my season is summer! :) These are older stamps and dies but new to me. I absolutely love the flip flops! The paper I used is a freebie from Dreamflare Studios (free with purchase). I've added extra dimension and detail to the background by dry embossing it with a Spellbinders folder that creates a fabric like texture.

This project came together very fast. The frame die fits the stamped image perfectly and the other die cuts easily found their places as embellishments... A nice and quick card!

I look forward seeing what you'll create for our challenge! Lots of DT inspiration -and an inspiring gallery- in the challenge blog! xx

New Challenge + DT Call at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for our new challenge at Time Out. This challenge doubles as a DT Call so make sure to check out all the details in our challenge blog HERE! Lots of wonderful inspiration from our talented guest designer Jennifer and our design team there too.

The challenge for the next fortnight is nice an easy Winter/Holiday!

I made a card focusing on stunning Pinpoint dies from our sponsor Birch Press Design. These dies have such a unique look! I instantly knew I wanted to make a shaker card. I love shaker cards, but I usually tend to have some shaker bits flying out even after all the taping and reassuring... and I get frustrated... But I think this time this is pretty sturdy lol! I do not know if I have courage to send it in mail though. :)

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

New Challenge at Time Out!

 Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for Time Out! The next fortnight we are inspired by a fabulous purse created by our former DT member Kim who also runs an Etsy shop Running Stitch Design . The winner of this challenge will receive this purse as a prize! Wonderful, right?!? I do hope to see you playing along!

I was inspired by the two toned poppies and the "patterned paper feel" of the fabric. My background paper is more blue than Kim's fabric, I'm totally in love with hers... But I didn't have a perfect match so this had to do! The poppy stamp is by Waffle Flower. Sentiments by Pinkfresh Studio. I've colored the flower with both pink and red petals but it's not very obvious in the photo -taking photos in natural light in Finland in November (and December, January, February and March lol!!) is not the easiest. :)

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you playing along! Lots of more DT inspiration and all the challenge details in our challenge blog HERE

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational! For the next fortnight we are inspired by this mood board:

My inspiration points were cookies, whipped cream and Christmas drinks (I'm thinking the bottom right image is from a Christmas hot cocoa nook!) ... along with white writing on black. I've colored a Dreamflare Studios digital image with a no line look -I printed the image to be only 20% of the normal outline strength. I used my Copics + colored pencils for the coloring. For an extra wintry look I decided to use a fSSS alling snow stencil with white paste but although this stencil is a long time fave I do regret using it this time... The image is quite delicate and the stencilig overpowers it a bit... But after using quite some time practicing coloring this image I didn't want to remake the card again lol!! The sentiment comes from a Tree Room Studios set.

Do head on over to Inkspirational for all the challenge details and lots of more DT inspiration!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges -sorry for being one day late with my card and post!

Our challenge for the next fortnight is Inspired by Words:

"When we focus on our gratitude,
the tide of disappointment goes out and the tide of love rushes on"
Kristin Armstrong

You can use the whole quote as your starting point or just be inspired by one word or some words like "tide", "gratitude" or "love". Plenty of possibilities here!

We are sponsored by Poppy Stamps with a generous $20 gift voucher and our winner also gets called to guest design in a future challenge. This time our inspiring GD is Deb Horst. Don't miss her fabulous card or any DT inspiration and challenge details, click HERE!

I was inspired by tide (made me think of waves) and love. My card ended up having a sort of maritime color palette, so I went into the direction of a masculine love-card. The stripy wavy die from my stash is unbranded, I unfortunately don't remember where it's from... But the sentiment and background die (more waves!) are by Altenew. Hope you like and thank you for stopping by!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational and it is 'Cold'. I knew I wanted to make a holiday/winter card and decided it was time to color in a Simon Says Stamp poinsettia stamp that I have -I've used this stamp before but have never colored it in. I used Karin markers and colored pencils for the coloring. The die cut sentiment is by Stamplorations and the heat embossed sentiment is from a Three Room Studio stamp set. My color combo is sort of "cold meets warm" and although it's maybe not super wintry... I do like it!

I hope to see you playing along. All challenge details with lots of more DT inspiration can be found HERE. Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for our new challenge at Time Out! For the next fortnight we want to see projects with Vintage feel. In my honest opinion I didn't 100% succeed with the vintage feel... But I tried!!

My inspiration was Vintage Christmas Ornaments... But the light colors makes them look a little bit modern after all lol. The dark background colors and dark silver sparkly card stock for leaves and ornaments do have a vintage feel though. I used a slightly sparkly embossing powder for the poinsettia pattern in the ornaments. The background is inked to create an ombre feel. I also splattered some shiny silver water color on top of everything. I do like all the subtle shine in the card from the dark glitter card, shiny splatters and sparkly embossing powder!

Many of the products used are by Hero Arts so I'll enter the Stay Crafty With a Blog Named Hero October challenge: Holiday. HA products used: Poinsettia Flowers Bold Prints background stamp, Bulb Ornament Infinity Dies, Holly Berries Stamp and Cut XL Dies.

Sentiment is by Waffle Flower and the tiny poinsettias are Memory box dies.

I'll also enter:

New Challenge at Time Out with Free Digital Image!

Hi friends!

We have our annual special challenge at Time Out where we want to acknowledge not only cancer but all chronic illnesses that affect us and/or our loved ones... Greetings of friendship and support are so important during such hard times of life.

Our sponsor Jane's Doodles has generously donated a free digital image for us all to use. It's not mandatory to use the image for the challenge, but we'll love to see what you come up with if you decide to use it! Notice how these cute critters have ribbons on their chests? I decided to color my ribbons pink for breast cancer awareness.

The sentiment stamps from Concord & 9th were perfect for showing support and standing by a friend in need.

My card is very simple: I've printed out the digi, colored the image with Copics and stamped the sentiments. I cut a quick mask to ink a pink hill for my critters to stand on. Two die cut small hearts and gold splatters embellish the card.

I hope to see you joining us at Time Out!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

Very sorry this post is two days late... I've been a total airhead! At least my card was in the challenge post of Inkspirational in time lol. Anyway -on Saturday we began with a new challenge at Ink and it's a fun and easy Clean and Simple. There's an option to be inspired by movies!

I decided to concentrate on making my Christmas card stash bigger and created a two for one CAS card design using a large background stamp. All I've done is that I heat embossed the image with copper powder on navy card, cut the image in two parts with a shaped die and adhered the panels to card bases. The sentiment is heat embossed with same copper powder. Let me know what you think!

I hope to see you playing along at Ink! Here's a little reminder of Clean and Simple guidelines:

✅ One main focal point
✅ Lots of OPEN space (doesn't 'have' to be white)
✅ Minimal Layers
✅ Minimal Embellishments

Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out and this time it's a beautiful fall and nature inspired photo inspiration challenge!

I was inspired by the fall colours, leaves and the row boat! I used my Altenew row boat die along with leaves from Memory box. I haven't used colored card stock but have inked all the parts (also the sentiment strip) with various Altenew or Distress inks to create my fall color palette. I love the softer look that inked die cuts have in comparison with when you die colored card... But of course you don't always have time for inking and then the colored card is very good too! :) Sentiment stamp is by Altenew as well.

The background is made with smooshing some Distress ink and then stamping on top with the same ink using a Marianne Design splatter stamp. I did splatter some gold and white ink too!

I hope to see you joining us! All the challenge details can be found HERE. Make sure to check out the beautiful inspiration from our guest designer Trina and from the whole team!

Inkspirational Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!

I'm here to remind you about our current challenge at Inkspirational! We are inviting you to draw inspiration from CLOTHING, in general, or an article of clothing from your CLOSET. Whatever you choose -   fashionable outfits, laundry baskets of clothes, baby attire, pants/skirts/shirts, even winter wear, like mittens, scarves and hats, clothing being made - sewing machines/knitting needles - as long as you feature an article of clothing, we'd love for you to share your card/project in the gallery.

I draw inspiration from one of the summer jackets I own. I used stamps and dies by Altenew. I begun with stamping the florals and after adding detail with coloring stencils I then then used the dies to used to cut masks out of masking paper. I adhered the masks on top of my stamped flowers and then inked the background navy blue. I love the white edge that this technique leaves around the images! I used a hexagon die from my stash (brand is forgotten, sorry) to pop some of the background up and adhered the sentiment + one branch on top of the hexagon. I quite like how this turned out! I hope you do too! I look forward seeing what you'll create for us.

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for our new challenge at Time Out, 'Colorful'.

This challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn and our winner receives an amazing $25 voucher to their store! Our winner also gets called to guest design in a future challenge. This time our guest is the very talented Fran. To see her card, all the DT inspiration along with challenge details, click HERE!

I made a colorful background with ink blending. I begun with one of those faux watercolor patterned papers (in yellow hues) and blended on that -I got my results way faster than if I would have used white card stock. I also did a little tone on tone stenciling but it's hardly noticeable and even less so in the photo!
The butterflies are by Lawn Fawn, sentiment by Altenew. I die cut a bunch of butterflies and randomly adhered them to my background. Very simple but love how this turned out!

I hope to see you playing along. xxx

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

 Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for Inkspirational where my team mate Marlena has chosen "Iridescent" as her cue word for us! You can interpret this in many ways -think acetate, holographic card, vellum... There's plenty to choose from!

I've made a little shaker card where I've used acetate for the window along with iridescent sequins. The cover plate comes from Textures by Lou Collins (available in Craft Stash) and the frame die is by Waffle Flower. Sentiment by Altenew. For a shaker this was pretty quick to make -using the frame die helped in keeping things nice and neat!

I hope to see you playing along. xxx

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi guys!

I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where we have a fun monochromatic challenge for you!

In my card I've used a digital stamp Mini Floral Slimline Wishes by our sponsor Varada Sharma. I've colored the image with various shades of green Copics and used Altenew inks for shading the background. We have two prizes for crabs this week so I highly recommend you play along! All challenge details along with lots of DT inspiration HERE

I hope to see you playing along!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

 Hi there!

I'm here with my DT card for Inkspirational Challenges, where we want you to use stencils during the next fortnight! There's an optional twist to use layereing stencils too. All details and lots of more inspiration in our blog HERE.

The background stencil I've used comes from Pinkfresh. I thought it had a feel of a christmassy table cloth so I combined it with a holly stamp by Hero Arts. The sentiment comes from the same HA set. The image is colored with Copics and I also added white gel pen and Stickled for the berries. White paint splatter finishes off the card -I seem to be addicted to it. :)

Thank you for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

Card for Time Out Challenges!

Hi friends!

I'm sorry to be a couple of days late with my DT card for Time Out... I was away from home and couldn't upload my card before leaving. Anyway -now I'm back and here's what I made! :)

For the next fortnight we are inspired by this photo:

I was inspired by several things in the photo:

-color scheme
-font style in in the sentiments
-a golden bird
-"holes" in the storage wall

Can you spot all the that in my card? :)
I've used dies from Lawn Fawn and Simon Says (for the sentiment)

Do head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and lots of more DT inspiration.
