Hi friends!
I'm here with a DT reminder card for our current challenge at TIME OUT:
This challenge is sponsored by Sarah Gray from Funky Fossil Designs. She sells wonderful stencils in her folksy shop HERE and I had great joy to work with one of her stencils in my card!
Our guest designer this time is the talented Amanda. Don't miss her card or any other inspiration by our DT, click HERE!
I created the background of this card with stencil, brushos and water. My Less is More DT friend Anita used this technique in one of her cards lately and I wanted to give it a try! It's very easy: you simply sprinkle brushos on top of your stencil, spray water on top, and then remove the stencil. I used too much water and it pooled quite a bit but I do like the end result anyway. The flowers are from PTI and are colored in with Copics and white gel pen. For these I owe thanks to my Time Out DT buddy Anita who has sent me the die cut card stock pieces to stamp the flowers on! So this card is inspired by not one Anita, but two! :)
With this card I'd like to join:
Stamping Sensations July: In my garden (my second entry)
oh I like this idea of using a stencil this way-sounds easier enough even for me and my terrible skills with stencils! I think using the extra water was a happy mistake as it gives your whole card an arty look which fits in also with the sketchy sentiment x
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree with Sandy, it was a happy accident - perfect for your sentiment. Love the colours you've used - definitely feeling the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteThe organic look of the background is delicious, Nonni ... love how it flows from solid to hexagonal ... just like a frame of honey! You know how much I love those blooms ... add your colouring and we have something simply lovely! Thanks so much for the shout out my friend! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Nonni. Beautiful background and I love those flowers.
ReplyDeleteLoving your background and along with the sentiment and flowers really are sunny, many thanks for sharing with us at Stamping Sensations challenge.

What a cool background for your beautiful flowers, Nonni! I keep wishing I had Doodlie-do from PTI, but so far I just have to admire other people using it.

ReplyDeleteSorry to be so late in visiting to tell you how much I love this card. It's gorgeous Nonni, and I love the too-much-water-with-the-stencil happy accident. It looks great. Those flowers are wonderful and colored so beautifully. A wonderful creation!
