Hello friends!
It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More! The next week we'd like you to craft based on this sketch:
I love the curves on the sketch! I ended up being a bit naughty with the sketch in both of my cards but let's have a look at them anyway! :) STAMPlorations is sponsoring the June challenges at Less Is More. Play along for a chance to win! Also, the LIM Design Team has fabulous samples for you in our challenge blog HERE. Don't miss any of them!
Now let's see what I made.
Card 1 Summer Flowers
Immediately after seeing this sketch I knew I wanted to play with patterned paper, the sketch seemed perfect for it! I decided to stretch the middle part of the sketch to get more white space -I did want to see how the card would look with patterned paper on both ends. I do like it! A bit naughty with the sketch though! ;) The hello-die is by STAMPlorations and the heat embossed friend-word is by MFT. I added some clear drops for shine. A very simple card!
Card 2 Christmas Flowers
More naughtiness happening here... This time the sentiment is not at all where it should be! Bad Nonni! However... I do like this card too! Looks like I'm enjoying being rebellious! Let's hope my LIM bosses won't sack me. I promise to sit on a naughty step if that helps!
I've used my favorite snowflake die along with a curve edge die, patterned paper, MFT sentiment stamp and one single black half-pearl. The black sentiment looked very lonely being the only black thing so I added the pearl to keep company to the sentiment! The white panels are piped up with fun foam for extra dimension.
The poinsettia patterned paper comes from a stack I won from ABC Christmas Challenge and I'm happy to play along again with this card! The current challenge is M= More Than One and I have more than one flower + more than one curve! I'd also like to join:
Simon Says Monday Challenge: Vacation (I chose Christmas Holiday)
Thanks for popping by everyone and I hope to see you joining us!
Cheeky and naughty for sure Nonni but absolutely stunning twists on the sketch. It's a great curvy one and love how you've had such fun with it. Perfect use of your patterned papers and I seriously NEED That Snowflake die! Hahaha! Have a fabulous week. X
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards here Nonni, love all the flowers patterns too ;) Viv xx
ReplyDeleteThese are both fabulous with the delicious DP, Nonni ... love that you stretched the sketch and used artistic licence to create these pretties ... no sitting on the naughty step for you!! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy Sarah hasn't grounded you!!! :D Love these cards, Nonni. They're both gorgeous. The patterned paper is such a fab pop of vibrant colour on the first one, and I really like the extended clean space which works perfectly. The Christmas card is lovely; really beautiful patterned paper and a very elegant snowflake. Fantastic! Have a great weekend x
ReplyDeleteI love your cheeky designs, Nonni :) I wish that I had thought of reversing the sketch and using patterned paper/colour around the wavy area. Your Christmas card is fabulous and definitely a design that you could use for bulk making! I hope you have a fab weekend x
ReplyDeleteNot rebellious...just taking creative license! 😂 Beautiful cards, Nonni. What a great idea to use up pattern paper on your cards. The Christmas card is stunning. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh what stunning designs! I love how you reversed the sketch on the second card. So fun!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful patterned paper...I might just have to steal your idea here...I have tons of pattern paper that is just waiting to be given a home :)
ReplyDeleteLovely cards, Nonni. I love the twist on the first card of having a plain white panel going through the middle and patterned paper at the top and bottom. xx
ReplyDeleteOh, such pretty cards with great design!! And, lovely paper, too!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty...love your cards and that amazing patterned paper!
ReplyDeleteYou've made two gorgeous cards! I like this sketch and actually tried to enter the challenge yesterday, but my idea just didn't work.
ReplyDeleteThere's no mistaking that you've been influenced by the sketch, you didn't get naughty, at least not more than I usually get playing with sketches:)
ReplyDeleteOne fun summery one, one warm and Christmasy. Nice job!
What a fab showcase Nonni ! Love your clever idea with your patterned paper cards ! I especially love your wonderful Christmas card with the gorgeous soft pink pattern paper and this beautiful snowflake die cut ! Really stunning cards ! Have a fabulous week ! x
ReplyDeleteLoving these, Nonni, and not too far stretched to be naughty! I love that you highlighted the areas either side of the sketch panel with patterned paper, what a great design. And your wavy Christmas card with that gorgeous paper is fabulous, LOVE it! xx
