Merry Christmas!

Hi friends!

Christmas Eve is just around the corner... So it's a good time to share a card I made with a flower die cut Yana's Amaryllis by Spellbinders. This flower is is so pretty... And you can add color to it in various ways. I chose to Copic color the petals and then glue the "frame" part of the flower on top so it has nice dimension too. I love how this turned out! I've used several Spellbinders products in my card:

Yana's Amaryllis flower die On sale right now!
Gifting Bow dies (for the sentiment)

I'd like to play along in these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Sparkle and Shine (shine from the gold card!)
Die Cut Divas Challenge: Christmas/winter
Allsorts Challenge: Anything Goes
The Flower Challenge: Use Christmas Florals

Thank you for popping by and Merry Christmas, everyone!

Soup There It Is - Projects with Hero Studio December Stamp and Cut!

Hi friends!
I'm here to share two fun cards made with the Stamp and Cut of the Month from Hero Studio December release! This release is called Soup There It Is and it's very fun, not only for food lovers... But to everyone who wants to send comforting and encouraging cards. Make sure to check out all the December Studio products HERE! Now let's look at the cards I made!

Card 1
A Macaroni Shaker Card

The small pasta pieces in the stamp set immediately made me think of a shaker card! I've colored the pieces with a simple two marker Copic combo and then die cut them. The die cuts 6 pieces at once so it's really fast and easy to use. I stamped a tone on tone background using only stamps from the set... And of course the spoon and the sentiment come from the set too. Find the set HERE. I love how cute this turned out!

I'd like to join:

We Love to Create: Anything Goes with mixed media (stamping, die cutting, shaker technique, coloring)
Farm Quest Grocery Game challenge: Anything Food Related Goes

Card 2
A Cup of Love

The stamp set also has cute little florals you can embellish your soup cup with... Or even use your cup as a vase for the flowers and various greenery options. Love the chop sticks, so fun! All stamps are from the Stamp and Cut set  . The die cut pierced background is made with a die from a Die Set of a Month from a couple of months ago, there are still some available HERE. But remember, when the Studio products are gone, they are gone... So buy yours now if you want to make sure you'll get to have them!

I'd like to join:

613 Avenue Create: Anything Goes with Sparkle and Shine (my flowers shine, very hard to see in the photo though!)
Word Power challenge: Focus on sentiment
I Love Promarkers challenge: Anything Goes with coloring
A Cut Above: Anything Goes with Die Cuts

I'm here sharing some midmonth inspiration with the current Hero Studio subscription products. Make sure to head on over to Hero Arts shop to find out all the details about Hero Studio and all of these fun products!

Project 1: Doorhanger

This doorhanger was so fun to make! I used the die and stamps from the Whole Studio Bonus that you'll receive if you subscribe to all of the Studio products. I couldn't resist adding one cute stamped, colored and die cut image from the Stamp and Cut of the Month too. I used Copics for my coloring and also added little shading to the white base with light green ink for extra detail.

With my doorhanger I'd like to join:

We Love Stamping: Anything Goes
Allsorts Challenge: Anything Goes

Project 2: Mini Slimline Card

These bookworms make me smile so much I had to add two of them. Those eyes, lol!! Love them!! I think this turned very cute and fun. I can't wait to use this tote bag die with some of my flower dies to fill it with flowers too!

With my Mini Slimline I'd like to join:

Die Cut Divas: Critters ( I had to google to check if a worm actually is a critter and apparently it is!)

November Studio at Hero Arts... "One More Chapter"!

Hi friends!

I'm here today with some mid-month inspiration with the latest Hero Studio subscription products. Hero Studio is a monthly subscription program with new collections coming out every month... Options starting only from $17.50 per month. Learn all about Hero Studio and join in the fun HERE. November Studio is called "One More Chapter" and it's filled with gorgeous book themed products. Today I'm sharing bookmarks I made with the super cute Stamp and Cut of the Month Set

I wanted to create His and Hers bookmarks to give as Christmas gifts... And I love how they turned out!

I've colored the stamped images with Copics and die cut them out with the coordinating die. I've then used the oval die that cuts the image in the blue bookmark to create the bases for the bookmarks:

I used the partial die cutting technique where I didn't cut the bottom end of the die (if you google partial die cutting you'll find plenty of tutorials about the technique) but trimmed the edges and the bottom with my paper trimmer to have it a bit bigger than what the original size would be.

I could then glue my stamped image on top and the design started to shape up! I used the circle dies from Tag Infinity Dies to cut the hole for a cute tassel from my stash.

I'd like to join:
The Male Room: Floral Masculine (the blue bookmark)
Allsorts Challenge: Anything Goes
Cut It Up Challenge: Use your favorite color (blue, the blue bookmark)
A Cut Above Challenge: Anything Goes
A Place to Start: Anything Goes + Something New

October Challenge at Stay Crafty With a Blog Named Hero!

Hi friends!

We have a new fun challenge for you at Stay Crafty With a Blog Named Hero: Mellow Yellow, Use the color yellow in your project! You can use other colors too, but make sure to add yellow!

I played with a bunch of fun Hero Arts products in my card:

I started my card by coloring in the cute mouse cook from the What's Cooking Stamp and Cut set with Copics. I also colored a pie and a piece of cheese... And his super cute yellow apron! I then cut a bunch of caseroles from the Classic Caserole Die set and assembled them on a simple background that I had made with the Daisy Mosaic Stencil. I then placed the mouse on top, stamped the sentiment and called the card ready after a couple of gold paint splatters!

I hope to see you playing along. There's plenty of design team inspiration along with all the challenge details HERE. Play along and you could win a $50 gift card to Hero Arts shop

I'd like to play along:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Bright and Colorful
Allsorts Challenge: Woodland Critters (my mouse has left the woods and moved into kitchen though!)
Die Cut Divas Challenge: Anything Goes
A Cut Above: Anything Goes

Thank you for popping by and happy crafting!

Hero Arts October Studio Release + Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!

It's a new month... And that means there's a new Hero Studio Subscription Release! Learn all about Hero Arts Subscription products HERE and act fast... Once they are gone, they are gone!

October Studio is all about Holidays. I've played with the Stamp and Cut of the Month, the Die Set of the Month and the Layering Stencils of the Month. Let's have a closer look!

Card 1
Reminder card for Time Out Challenges!

This mixed media card was very fun to make! I white heat embossed the ornaments on a scrap of shimmery watercolor piece that I have had lying around my desk for a long time already. I also did plenty of gold heat embossing... And the background is gold watercolor that I have been blowing around with an alcohol ink tool.

With this card I'd also like to remind you of our Pick Two challenge at Time Out! The challenge is still running for about one week and your task is simple: Pick Two (or more) prompts from the list below and use them in your project. I went with 4: Season (Christmas), Edge (the white edge), Metallic (all the gold embossing and watercolor in the background) and Spatter (yes, I love paint spatters!). I hope to see you joining us, all the challenge details can be found HERE.

Card 2

The Die set of October is so cute! I love these strings of holiday lights. The set has many variations of the string shapes so you can create your custom look easily! I used gold cardstock and Stickles glitter glue for the lights and just plain white card for the strings- I wanted to go for an almost monochrome look with a touch of gold. The bauble and sentiment come from the Stamp and Cut of the Month again.

With this card I'd like to join:
The Holly and Ivy Challenge: Anything Christmas Goes

Card 3

I hope you agree that this pink Christmas tree looks pretty amazing!! I love how it turned out. I enhanced the baubles with Copics to make them stand out more and then used the sentiments from Stamp and Cut of the Month for greetings. Love how they fit thee baubles perfectly! I've used a lot of Stickles glitter glue on top of my inking to make the tree super festive... And of course some paint spatters again!

This would also be a good card for Time Out by the way... This time I've even added "monochrome" to the mix so I'm using 5 prompts out of 6! :)

With this card I'd like to join:

 Card 4

I stenciled a traditional green tree this time... But with lots of glitter and shine! I heat embossed one layer of the layering stencil with silver embossing powder and there's again plenty of Stickles both on the tree and in the baubles. The sentiment die is something you'll receive for free if you decide to buy ALL the Studio products... And it's pretty amazing! I love the swirly font and the large size.

That's all from me today, thank you for popping by! I hope you'll check out the Hero Arts October Studio products and our challenge at Time Out. Happy Crafting!
