Card for Challenges/ Time Out Challenges Reminder -Better Late Than Never! :)

Hi guys!
I'm here to share a card I made with my new Concord &9th stamps. My wonderful friend Sandie sent this stamp set to me as a birthday gift and I absolutely love it. Thank you Sandie!

I missed the TIME OUT Challenges reminder post on Thursday due to hectic work stuff but our challenge is still running for a couple of days HERE. We are looking for autumn-themed cards with the option of speed stamping... Read all about the challenge from the link, I'm sure you'll be inspired by the work of our DT!

I wanted to color these flowers with soft earthy autumn colors and I begun this with stamping them with Rich Cocoa Memento ink instead of black. My coloring is done with Copics an I've added details with white gel pen, Wink of Stella and Nuvo drops. You can't really see the Nuvo drops or WOS in the photo but the shine and dimension is there! :) The frame die comes from MFT.

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi guys!

Welcome to another Less Is More challenge. We have a fun one for you this week: Use a real object. The design team has made fantastic, creative samples for you, don't miss any of them, click HERE! Our talented guest designer is Viv and I really love her artistic card. Welcome to LIM, Viv!

My card could not be any simpler. It's as CAS and as quick as it gets! I used linen textured card base and stamped the sentiment and the flower stems by PTI on it with the help if my Ranger stamp tool. I then attached the buttons as flowers and this card was done I think in under 5 minutes! This stamp set is very fun, it's designed to work with using buttons. I do feel this was so easy I almost cheated with my DT card this week but at least it looks quite cute! :) My DT friends surely have more complex designs for you to admire. My last two weeks have been very busy at work so no second or third DT cards this week -hopefully I'm sure back into crafting more!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational challenges: oldie but goodie, use a stamp from the days when you started crafting. I actually chose this challenge and can not wait to see what you'll create with your oldest, probably neglected stamps! I'm sure the old stamps become happy when they get inked! :)

When I begun card making I was obsessed with doilies. I loved using actual doilies for more layered cards and bought some doily stamps for my stash too. I didn't own a die cutting machine that time -otherwise I'm sure I'd also have doily dies in my stash! My DT card is made with a My Mind's Eye doily stamp set. It's not the oldest stamp set that I own but very close -I have actually recently used the very oldest one so I wanted to let this one a chance to come out and play. I do de-stash quite often by selling old stamps in a fb group to get more room (and money!) for new stash. Also one's style chances doesn't it... And you might not like some of your eldest ones so much as you used to. That's why I thought this challenge could be fun, to try to use those old stamps for something new and fresh! I tried to bring my doily stamp up to date by keeping the design very CAS and using STAMPlorations wonky stitches dies and Nuvo drops (almost invisible in the photo!) for accents.  Hope you like and thanks for popping by!

More DT inspiration and all the challenge details HERE. Our guest designer is the fabulous Shirley who used to be my DT buddy at STAMPlorations -welcome to Ink Shirley!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Less Is More:

This gives you a lot of options... Perfect opportunity to begin making Christmas cards for example! I love holidays by water -both seaside holidays and summer vacations at cabins by lakes are my favorites- so I chose a water-themed starfish stamp and sunshiney sentiment for my card. Starfish stamp by Stampers Anonymous, sentiment by PTI and dies by STAMPlorations. I also used some yellow tinted Nuvo Jewel drops for embellishment -if you click the photo larger you'll see them better. This is a very simple card but I love the detail from the die cut rectangles and I think the "whiteness" of the card does keep the overall look pretty CAS. I colored my starfish with copics and added white gel pen for details.

CASology. Prickly (correct me if I'm wrong, but I think starfish is not a smooth creature!)

I hope to see you playing along! Don't miss any DT inspiration, click HERE. Our guest designer this time is Pauline and I absolutely love her fun flip flop card! Have a fun, crafty weekend everyone!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
I hope you are ready for the monthly one layer challenge at Less Is More... This time we want to see some vehicles in your projects! Our design team has lots of fun samples for you HERE and we also have a fantastic guest designer, Marge... I'm totally in love with her cards and especially her coloring skills!

In my card I used a fun boyish stamp set by Paper Smooches combined with a cool sentiment stamp by The Ton. I stamped this card when visiting my friend Sandie in June and did the copic coloring and decorative die cutting back home. I think this turned out so fun!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I'm here this morning with my DT card for the new Inkspirational Challenge:

Our team has made lots of samples how to interpret the word "wave", don't miss any of the cards, click HERE! You'll also find out that Helen is our guest designer in this challenge. I'm sure you'll love her card!

I decided to use a wave-shaped die cut and used it as a snow bank. Another Christmas make from me. :) The MFT Santa was stamped and die cut from my friend Milla and I think he is hilarious! Santa is colored in with Copics and I used some Stickles for extra sparkle. I used starry designer paper for background and glittery Nuvo drops for extra stars. The sentiment (freebie with a magazine) is stamped with golden Delicata Ink. Love that stuff!

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along!

Time Out Challenge Reminder

Hi friends!
You still have about one week to play along at TIME OUT challenges where we are inspired by this gorgeous photo:

For all the challenge details and prize info, click HERE. We are sponsored by STAMPlorations

This card is a bit unusual for me because it's created solely with die cuts! I was inspired by the colors of the photo and the map-wallpaper. I had the square frame ready from an older project so I cut some designer paper to fit it for an inlaid-die look. I then placed the large globe-die cut and hug-word on top. Both of these die cuts are gifts from my TO boss Sandie! Thank you Sandie!

I hope you'll now have a look at our blog. You'll be very inspired by the cards that our guest designer Trinia and our DT members have create, there's many looks to go for! It's your turn to take TIME OUT and craft. :)

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi guys!
Another week flew by and we have a new challenge for you at Less Is More. It's time for a color challenge in our rota and we are inspired by the colors of tropical fruits!

Our sponsor for the month of August is the fabulous UK based online craft supplies store Seven Hills Crafts. Play along and you could win a coupon to their store!

We are also very happy that we have a guest designer in our tropical fruits challenge, Tara! She made a fantastic card with a sentiment that makes me smile -don't miss her card or the fantastic inspiration by our DT -click HERE!

In my card I've used fun, retro-style stamps by Altenew and sentiment stamps by MFT. I made my colorful stamping with Memento inks and stamped the sentiment with black Versafine. The small black dots are made with black Nuvo drops. This looks like a very simple card to make and it should be... But this the fourth attempt! I kept messing something up with my stamping and had ink all over the place... I was hardly breathing when stamping this fourth panel! What a waste of good card stock... The stamped panel is quite busy so to keep my "white space" as large looking as possible, I opted for not attaching the panel in the middle of the card. I quite like how this turned out!

Have a fun weekend everyone and I hope to see you playing along!

August Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers

Hi friends!
It's already August... Time to get busy making Christmas cards, only 4 months to go! :) The August Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers is Anything Christmas goes with the optional twist of Poinsettia. Most of the team went with the twist and there's fantastic inspiration on offer HERE. We hope to see you playing along! Click HERE for information about the prizes.

My card is a very simple CAS design. I've simply stamped an Uniko poinsettia to a die cut rectangle, colored it in with Copics and added lots of golden Stickles for details. I love Stickles in Christmas cards! The sentiment is from the same Uniko stamp set.

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Happy Little Stampers!
