Hi friends!
I'm here to share a quick post with a card I made for the brand new The Library Challenge. The first challenge topic there is Pride and Prejudice and here's the challenge info:
If you love reading – or just looking at book covers – this challenge is for you. Each challenge will feature a book and you can be inspired by :
The cover
or
The title
or
The Story
As you can probably see, I went with the cover! This was my first time coloring with Copics on kraft and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it! I think I'll never color on white again! ;) I also splattered some white paint -maybe a mistake- but I've been splattering all my cards lately. I can't stop it, it seems to be a bug. :) lol!! The fabulous stamps I used are by Altenew and I've actually received them last year as a birthday gift from Marina who is the mastermind behind The Library Challenge!

I love what you’ve made for Marina’s first challenge, these stamps are perfect for it. Superb coloring and I think the white splatter is a great detail to brighten up the darker Kraft. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Jo x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colouring, Nonni ... kraft or white, you are a genius with Copics ... such a fantastic take on the inspiration! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThe copic colouring looks amazing! I really think the overall effect perfectly reflects the book cover with the parrot being a great twist on the peacock. Thanks for joining The Library - and also for promoting it too!
ReplyDeleteThis is a stunning background, Nonni! A great take on your inspiration! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
ReplyDeleteI think this is such an amazing card, I think it is a piece of art that needs to be framed. And the splattering really works. You rocked this colouring. I am stunned at how beautiful this is....it should be the cover. You should be so very proud of this Nonni x
ReplyDeleteA nice card, the colouring you've done on Kraft cardstock looks fab and I have to admit - I really like the paint splatters and I do the same as you, I just can't resist splashing on a bit of colour ;) x
