Sorry for the unfocused photo, I try to get this replaced with a better one but please bear with this in the meantime! Clicking it larger might help a bit! :) |
Hi friends!
We have the first challenge of 2018 for you at Less Is More and we also have some news: from now on you'll always have 2 weeks to play along, we are changing our challenges to run fortnightly! I hope you'll like this little change. We are still continuing with the monthly sponsors and with our familiar challenge rota so no worries, not too much is different! :) We actually have a new sponsor in January, Skull and Cross Buns. Exciting!
Now let's get into the details of our first challenge in January:
I know one person who just loves loves loves purples, my good friend Sandie , and this is my message to her:
Sandie , I challenge you to enter this challenge at least twice times during the next fortnight! How about creating 3 cards for us?!? Do I hear "challenge excepted"?!? :)
Our guest designer this time is the talented Wei. I really love the cute purse superhero card she created for us!
I've made a quick CAS card for this challenge using an oldie but goodie PTI stamp and sentiment stamp by Concord and 9th. My coloring is made with ZIGs and an old wink of stella pen filled with water -this gives such a lovely sparkle! I'm out of marker proof black ink so until I do some crafty shopping, no Copic coloring here! I guess this could be a good time to work on my water coloring skills! I forgot to stamp on Bristol paper (it's way better with ZIGs than normal watercolor paper) so this coloring job is very flat, not much dimension here... But oh well! At least it sparkles a lot! :)
That's all from me this time. Do visit my DT buddies for lots of more inspiration, I'm sure they have some extra cards in their blogs!
I'd like to join:
CAS-ual Fridays Challenge: All that Glitters
Here's another photo take on the card, this time in natural light... The sparkle shows better in the first photo though! :)
Beautiful sparkly card Nonni and perfect for our challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. Thanks for playing along.
ReplyDeleteOh no, now you have made me panic!!!! I can’t think of anything purple! I will take up the challenge but please don’t shoot me if I don’t make it!! Your card is a stunner, wonderfully CAS and gorgeous colours!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card Nonni! It's full of clean line and an amazing design too. I really don't think your water colouring needs any work whatsoever as it is superb here! Love the sparkle that you added too. I really can't get any of my WoS pens to sparkle like that. Such a stunning card xx
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love those fabulous hearts Nonni!

ReplyDeleteStunning, shimmery and so so classy Nonni. I love how you've coloured the image so perfectly and your challenge to Sandie really made me giggle. I think there's quite a few folks out there who love purple so let's see if they've a few designs up their sleeves for this challenge! Happy New Year and have a great week x
ReplyDeleteOh my, the shimmer and shine on this lovely design is gorgeous, Nonni ... it's pretty and graphic at the same time! Thought of Sandie too as soon as I saw the LIM theme ... and chuckled at your dare for her ... such fun! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Nonni. Love your beautiful shimmery watercolouring. I’ve always wanted to try that. And no Copic colouring? That would be torture. 😂 Great design too. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a wonderful week. xx
