Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the current challenge at Time Out were we are inspired by this fabulous photo:

I was inspired by the overall colors of the photo, the stripes in the plate and the big love- word.

Our sponsor in this challenge is Funky Fossil Designs and I had fun playing with two of their awesome products:

Our winner will receive a £15 gift certificate to Funky Fossil Designs

My card was easy to make but it did take some hours. I first stamped the flower image and cut a mask for it and masked it. The shape is pretty intricate so this took some time! :) I then stenciled the mandala design on top with two tones of red DI:s and then removed the mask and stencil. Time for Copic coloring... and after that was done, some splatters and putting the card together, also adding the die cut love-word. My opinion on the card varies -one moment I think it's fab, other moment I think it's messy... But at least it was fun and relaxing to make lol!

I hope to see you joining us at Time Out

  1. Love this card! The combo of stencil and stamp is beautiful - and an inspired idea to choose a mandala stencil as the backdrop.May have taken some time but worth it!

  2. Oops! Forgot to say - thanks for sharing with us at Stamping Sensations!

  3. Well I think it is fab! Adore the way you have combined the stencil and the stamp and boy that was some good fussy cutting. I really like how deep you have made the 'Love' so the red and black just look perfect together....not messy in anyway-perfection!

  4. Wow, Nonni ... this is so eyecatching, dramatic and fabulous! Each element works really well with all the others ... the soft stencilling, that lovely masked bloom (and the awesome colouring), the bold sentiment ... so worth all that 'relaxing' work! Hugs, Anita :)

  5. Stunning card, Nonni! What a fabulous design. xx

  6. It's a really pretty card and great combination of stamp and stencil work, perfect for our 'Feminine' theme at Penny Black and More, many thanks for joining in.
