Breaking News! More Insporation with My Monthly SuperHero

Hello friends! 

I'm here today with a fun card that I made with the January My Monthly Superhero Kit, available at Hero Arts. The Superhero kit includes the My Monthly kit + one extra stamp and die set and one extra stand-alone die set, both marked with a plus sign in the product photo below. The little postman pup of the Superhero Kit has absolutely stolen my heart! I colored him with Copics and added quite a bit of dimension to him popping some parts of the the hat and bag up with foam squares. The stamp set is so fun too -you can customize your own newspaper front or just cut the various sentiments from it with the matching dies -many possibilities. I have a fun idea for the newspaper stamp combining it with an older Hero Arts favorite... Make sure to pop back in a couple of days to see it!

More Inspiration with My Monthly Hero

I have not been able to put down the products from Hero Arts January My Monthly Hero... The Happy Mail theme is just so cheerful and the little chirps and the mailbox are too fun to color!

I revisited an old technique for the background -I've dry embossed the white and red cardstocks using a Daisy Mosaic stencil and a die cutting machine... No embossing folders were used! :) I have (an almost vintage lol!!) Cuttlebug and the sandwich I used was 

A plate, B, plate, cardstock, stencil, rubbermat, piece of packing cardboard (so quite thick cardboard), B plate. 

My plates are pretty worn out and the whole machine is falling apart a little bit lol... But I've decided I won't replace it before it stops working!

More Inspiration With My Monthly Hero!

A promised earlier, I'm back with more inspiration with Hero Arts My Monthly Hero! The card in my previous post was created with the cute stamp set that comes with the kit and now I'm sharing two cards created with the dies of the kit. The theme of January My Monthly Hero is "Happy Mail" and these dies are perfect for creating mail themed cards! I especially love the first card of this post -that large slightly vintage looking mail box die is just the cutest! I've added some extra dimension and color to the die cuts with inking and marker coloring... And used a heat embossed sentiment from the stamp set included in the kit. The second card has fun springy feel with the pastel colors that I chose... And who wouldn't want to receive an envelope and have flowers bursting out from it!

My Monthly Hero Is Back!

The year changes with exciting news from Hero Arts -the My Monthly Hero Kits are back! Many Hero Arts lovers have been missing My Monthly Hero and now it's here again... Happy Happy times! Accordingly, the January kit is called "Happy Mail" and it has fun mail related stamps and dies with cute birds, snails and animals too!

The price for My Monthly Hero is $45 (value of $88) and My Monthly SUPERHero costs $75 (value of $155). In My Monthly Hero you'll receive one stamp set with coordinating dies + 2 stand-alone die sets... The card in today's post is created with the stamp set from the My Monthly Hero which product images you'll see below. I'll be back later with another post with the die cuts... And later with another post with projects for the SUPERHero. I'm deeply in love with both subscription options and haven't been able to put them down... So get ready for many Happy Mail cards lol! This card is fairly simple -I've just stamped die cut and colored a bunch of images from the set and colored them with my Copics and colored pencils. The frame die actually comes from the My Monthly SUPERHero stand-alone die set, you'll be seeing a lot of it in this blog in the upcoming days lol!
