Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at Time Out, 'Different':

You might think I'm not being different here because I'm using my markers as always... But I'm not doing any complex shading! All marker coloring you see is just one layer and took no time at all! I also went for a CAS look which is also something I don't necessarily aim for these days, I just let me cards become as CAS or non-CAS as they end up... But this one I wanted to keep CAS for making sure I was being different from my usual cards!

I used a super fun Paisley patterns stamp set by our sponsor Funky Fossil. When this stamp set came out I knew I just had to have it: Paisley is one of my favorite patterns, I absolutely love it in men's shirts and in curtains/other furnishings. The shapes are just randomly stamped, then quickly colored and I added some patterned paper for extra detail -also different for me, I don't use pp too often! The sentiment (oldie from stash) is also simply stamped. I don't really like the way it looks but I didn't plan a proper place for the sentiment when stamping my patterns... So it looks a bit squished. Oh well. :)

Please head on over to our challenge blog for more DT inspiration and all the challenge details! Thanks for popping by!

I'd like to join:
Addicted to CAS: Shapes ( my shapes are Paisley and circles )
CASology: Long (using strips of card stock/panels that are as long as the card base)

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends! We have a new challenge for you at Time Out and it's a very fun one:

Our sponsor Funky Fossil Designs offers a £15 voucher for the winner, yay!

I created my card with a wonderful stamp by Funky Fossil Designs called Lotus Reflections. My interpretation of the challenge is that when I usually color black outline images on white card with alcohol markers... This time I colored a white outline image on black watercolor card with metallic watercolors! The sentiment comes from Altenew.

Please head on over to our challenge blog where you'l find all the challenge details and a lot of more inspiration! Thanks for popping by and checking out my card. :)

Card for Challenges!

Hi friends!
I'm here with a quick post sharing a card I made for the new challenge at Waffle Flower Crafts -click HERE and you'll find it! The challenge will run weekly and I'm super excited about it, Waffle Flower is definitely one of my favorite stamp companies!

The challenge theme this time was "Greenery". I used two stamp sets from Waffle Flower: the sentiments come from Peony Dreams and for stamping the images I used one individual stamp called In Bloom. I stamped the leaves from In Bloom multiple times to add more greenery. I colored the images with Copics and Altenew markers. I sponged light blue ink to the background very subtly for some dimension. I finished the card with paint splatters and some golden half pearls and that's all there is to this card! :)

Card for Challenges!

Hi friends!
This does NOT happen often these days... A non-DT card! :) I wanted to join the 10th Anniversary festivities at Less Is More and also play with my new Maker Forte stamps, designed by the amazing Alex Syberia. I had super fun masking and coloring these flowers! I also used a Funky Fossil stencil that I felt went well with the style of the flowers and leaves. The white heat embossed sentiment is by Altenew. It was very fun to make a CAS One layer for a change! Thank you LIM ladies for the inspiration! Oh and the flowers are colored with Copics. Thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at AAA Birthday!

Hi friends!
It's the first Monday of March and time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday Card Challenges! In the month of February our theme is patterned paper.

Please head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and more DT inspiration!

I made a pretty quick card using one of my favorite flower stamps from Waffle Flower Crafts as focal point. I heat embossed it with white powder on grey card and die cut it with co-ordinating dies. The patterned paper I used has a large pattern and I thought the contrast between the detailed flower and the bold background looked pretty fun! I used die cuts from Penny Black to "mount" the flower. I finished the card with paint splatters and sparkly sequins.
