New Challenge at Time Out with Free Digital Image!

Hi friends!

We have our annual special challenge at Time Out where we want to acknowledge not only cancer but all chronic illnesses that affect us and/or our loved ones... Greetings of friendship and support are so important during such hard times of life.

Our sponsor Jane's Doodles has generously donated a free digital image for us all to use. It's not mandatory to use the image for the challenge, but we'll love to see what you come up with if you decide to use it! Notice how these cute critters have ribbons on their chests? I decided to color my ribbons pink for breast cancer awareness.

The sentiment stamps from Concord & 9th were perfect for showing support and standing by a friend in need.

My card is very simple: I've printed out the digi, colored the image with Copics and stamped the sentiments. I cut a quick mask to ink a pink hill for my critters to stand on. Two die cut small hearts and gold splatters embellish the card.

I hope to see you joining us at Time Out!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

Very sorry this post is two days late... I've been a total airhead! At least my card was in the challenge post of Inkspirational in time lol. Anyway -on Saturday we began with a new challenge at Ink and it's a fun and easy Clean and Simple. There's an option to be inspired by movies!

I decided to concentrate on making my Christmas card stash bigger and created a two for one CAS card design using a large background stamp. All I've done is that I heat embossed the image with copper powder on navy card, cut the image in two parts with a shaped die and adhered the panels to card bases. The sentiment is heat embossed with same copper powder. Let me know what you think!

I hope to see you playing along at Ink! Here's a little reminder of Clean and Simple guidelines:

✅ One main focal point
✅ Lots of OPEN space (doesn't 'have' to be white)
✅ Minimal Layers
✅ Minimal Embellishments

Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out and this time it's a beautiful fall and nature inspired photo inspiration challenge!

I was inspired by the fall colours, leaves and the row boat! I used my Altenew row boat die along with leaves from Memory box. I haven't used colored card stock but have inked all the parts (also the sentiment strip) with various Altenew or Distress inks to create my fall color palette. I love the softer look that inked die cuts have in comparison with when you die colored card... But of course you don't always have time for inking and then the colored card is very good too! :) Sentiment stamp is by Altenew as well.

The background is made with smooshing some Distress ink and then stamping on top with the same ink using a Marianne Design splatter stamp. I did splatter some gold and white ink too!

I hope to see you joining us! All the challenge details can be found HERE. Make sure to check out the beautiful inspiration from our guest designer Trina and from the whole team!

Inkspirational Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!

I'm here to remind you about our current challenge at Inkspirational! We are inviting you to draw inspiration from CLOTHING, in general, or an article of clothing from your CLOSET. Whatever you choose -   fashionable outfits, laundry baskets of clothes, baby attire, pants/skirts/shirts, even winter wear, like mittens, scarves and hats, clothing being made - sewing machines/knitting needles - as long as you feature an article of clothing, we'd love for you to share your card/project in the gallery.

I draw inspiration from one of the summer jackets I own. I used stamps and dies by Altenew. I begun with stamping the florals and after adding detail with coloring stencils I then then used the dies to used to cut masks out of masking paper. I adhered the masks on top of my stamped flowers and then inked the background navy blue. I love the white edge that this technique leaves around the images! I used a hexagon die from my stash (brand is forgotten, sorry) to pop some of the background up and adhered the sentiment + one branch on top of the hexagon. I quite like how this turned out! I hope you do too! I look forward seeing what you'll create for us.
