New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hello friends!
It's time for the last 2017 challenge at Inkspirational! This time our wonderful DT member (and one of my best friends!) Sandie has chosen the challenge theme and this is what she chose for us:

We'd like you to focus on plain old (but good!) stamping -no designer papers or dies allowed this time! Grab your stamps and inks and join us! Our guest designer this time is the very talented Laurie and I love the fun card she made for us. Do visit her blog and our regular DT members too!

My DT card is one of my last minute Christmas cards created with snowflake stamps by CAS-ual Fridays. I've used these stamps a lot, they are so versatile and can be used for many different looks! I went with CAS, one layer, sort of geometric style this time. Hope you like! The photo is a bit unfocused due to lighting problems I had when taking the photo but then it was too late to re-do the pic -the X was cards had to be sent out! :)

TIME OUT Challenges Reminder

HI friends!

I'm here to remind you of our last TIME OUT Challenge for 2017:

You still have about one week to play along! We will do a random draw between all those who use the optional twist. The winner of this will get a $15 gift voucher to use in Happy Little Stampers store, woo hoo!

I have pretty much twisted when making my card: I've used snowflake stamps by CAS-ual Fridays and a deer from Lawn Fawn Toboggan Together which is a Christmas set. The sentiment is also by Lawn Fawn. I've colored my deer with Copics and made a super simple (and slightly unrealistic, the snowflakes are a lot bigger than the deer!) scene.

Now it's your turn to take TIME OUT and craft! Don't forget to check out all DT inspiration HERE and visit our talented guest designer Patty! She had some Lawn Fawn fun too! :)

I'd like to join:

(a card for a "deer" friend is a kind gesture isn't it!) :)

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
I'm back with a DT post for Less Is More. Last LIM challenge for 2017! I'm so happy to be part of this team and even more happy that I get to continue next year... We have great challenges planned for you!

Our last challenge for 2017 is a sketch:

I'll try to keep this post short and sweet because of the many card photos included, I don't want to tire you out! :)

Card 1
(above)
In my first card I've stretched the sketch and created an A2 vertically folded card. I've used one of my favorite floral stamps, it's by Woodware and I love it so much! In the stamp the flowers are actually in a vase but I've only stamped the top portion of the image. I used black Versafine for stamping and heat embossed it with clear powder before water coloring the images with ZIG markers and an old Wink of Stella pen -the coloring has a beautiful shine to it but unfortunately the photo hasn't really captured it. No embellies in this one although I have used black Nuvo drops on top of the black dots that are included in the stamped image.

With this card I'd like to join:

(my 2nd entry)

Cards 2 & 3
These are last minute Christmas makes with die cut snowflakes and heat embossed Finnish sentiments on vellum! The first one is sort of a "mini-version" of the sketch because I used the sketch on a tag. I glued two identical snowflakes on the tag but only left the top one of them hang outside the tag, the bottom one is trimmed down. The second card is a super quick white on white card with some glitter details. Horrible to photograph! :)

I did manage to keep this quite short, didn't I! :) Thanks for popping by and I'd love to see you joining us! This challenge will run for two weeks so you'll have plenty of time. The month of December is sponsored by one of our regular sponsors, Happy Little Stampers and as always, the LIM ladies have fantastic inspiration for you in our challenge blog HERE and most likely some extra cards in their blogs too. :) Don't miss any of the fun, join us! Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Less Is More:

Let's have a quick look at my cards, both created with a fantastic stamp set by Winnie and Walter!

Card 1
The toucan
For my first card I chose to play with the funny toucan in the set. The card is a wintry birthday card for my good crafting friend Milla! If you are not familiar with her blog, click HERE. This card is created with some of my favorite techniques: stamping, masking, soft stenciling and copic coloring. Hope you like! :)

I'd like to enter this toucan card to:

Card 2
Two skating owls
For my second card I looked for color inspiration from Winnie and Walter December Challenge. I'd also like to join Simon Says Monday Challenge: Christmas/Winter Holidays. I've created the scene with stamping and masking, colored the images with copics and created the background with masking, sponging and stamping with a Prima background stamp. The heat embossed sentiment comes from the same Winnie and Walter stamp set. Here are the colors that inspired me:

Our guest designer for this challenge is the talented Michelle from Seashell Creations. Play long and you could be chosen as monthly winner and get to guest design for us in the future! The month of December is sponsored by one of our regular sponsors, Happy Little Stampers. And as always, the LIM ladies have fantastic inspiration for you in our challenge blog HERE and most likely some extra cards in their blogs too. :) Don't miss any of the fun, join us! Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

At Inkspirational our new challenge is "Gift". I made a tag that goes with a Christmas gift for my sister. I love how this turned out! The tag base is sponged with couple of shades of blue distress inks and after heat embossing my Finnish Christmas sentiment I splattered some paints for snow and stars (have been a bit obsessed with this technique lately!). I hope to see you joining us -lots of more DT inspiration HERE. Our guest designer this time is the talented Valentyna. Play along and you could be chosen as guest designer as well! Happy crafting!

TIME OUT Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here with a quick post to remind you of our current challenge at TIME OUT. We are inspired by the fun Christmas themed photo above -lots to be inspired by here! Our sponsor for this challenge is Uniko. Read all about the prize and be inspired of our DT projects HERE

If you look at the very first wooden rectangle where Graham's stocking is attached you'll see pretty obviously how I was inspired. :) I had an a4 sheet of this woodgrain paper and I actually made four quick cards with the same design. The Finnish Christmas sentiment is heat embossed with gold powder and I added some extra bling with sequins. I love the large snowflake die my wonderful crafty friend Sandie has given me some years ago -I think it might be PTI but I'm not sure. Correct me if I'm wrong Sandie! :)

Our guest designer this time is one of my favorite bloggers, Sarah! She actually used to be a DT member at TIME OUT and it's great to have her back for this challenge. Play along and you could be invited to guest design for us one day too! Happy crafting!

Christmas card with a Yeti!

Hi friends!
I'm here to share a Christmas card I made with this cute little MFT Yeti I got from my Time Out DT buddy Stephanie! I love these guys and am super grateful to Stephanie who was so kind and sent me many stamped and die cut Yetis... Thank you Stephanie! I've colored my Yeti with Copics and added Wink of Stella to his hat and scarf. The background scene is created with MFT die + sponging distress inks + splattering white acrylic paint and white gold Kuretake Starry Watercolor for stars and snow. The sentiment is simply stamped and is Finnish for Merry Christmas.

I'd like to join:

City Crafter Challenge: Where did you get that hat

AAA Cards: Sparkle

CAS Mix Up Card Challenge: Stamping + 2 mixed media choices
(sponging inks, splattering paint, die cutting, Copics, WOS, sequins!)
