Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for Time Out Challenges where we have a very inspirational quote for you for the next fortnight:
“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” —Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
Remember you can be inspired by the whole quote or just choose one word / some words as your starting point. Please head on over to our challenge blog for lots of more DT inspiration and all the challenge details!
I was inspired by the overall Spring theme, sun and light/shade. Tulips are THE spring flower for me... So that was an obvious choice. The current Stay Crafty With Hero Arts challenge is called "Somewhere over the rainbow" and that took my mind from sun to a rainbow! I chose grey card for my stenciling and tulip image to bring in the "shade" aspect from our Time Out. The HA stencil is called Daisy Mosaic and for the flower I used Tulip Bouquet stamp and die + coloring stencils. I finished the card with some paint splatters (they add light!) and gems. The sentiment I had ready in my scraps and it fits the Spring theme very well I think.
