New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
Sorry this post is more than one day late... My Easter guests made me forget about blogging completely! But here I am now with my DT card for our new challenge at Inkspirational where we are inspired by this photo:

I was inspired by the grey and white colors and also came to think about using leaf stamps (tea-tea leaves-leaves). :) I also added a pop of blue in the die cut MFT sentiment inspired by the pop of blue in the kettle.

This looks like grey card where I've white heat embossed the Altenew leaves but actually the grey card is covered with sticky back vellum I bought some weeks ago. Quite an interesting product... Will have to continue experimenting with it. I had a lot of air bubbles at first but I run the vellum covered card through my Cuttlebug and that took care of most of them. I kept this very simple, I think this might be  good masculine thank you card.

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us! Please head on over to the challenge blog for more DT inspiration!

  3. I'm partial to tropical leaves and this makes me happy Nonni! Love the handsome embossing and stone color you achieved with the vellum~

  4. Sticky vellum, that sounds like something I should get. Not easy to always hide the glue spots and make it stick without stitching, which doesn’t always suit in with a design. Some creative thinking here, leading to an elegant result.

  5. I've never heard of sticky-backed vellum - must look it up (although I'm on a stash diet at the moment). This is a great design - the leaves are so elegant and I love the blue of the sentiment.
