TIME OUT Challenges Reminder

Hi friends!
I'm here today to remind you of our current challenge at TIME OUT Challenges where we are inspired by this gorgeous Home Sweet Home photo:

So much to be inspired by here! If you however need some ideas, have a look at the rest of the DT cards HERE. As always we also have a fabulous guest designer and this time we are happy to have Ksenija joining us. She is for sure one of the most talented card makers in bogland and her blog is filled with inspiration on how to make the most of our crafty stash! Absolutely love Ksenija's work.

I was inspired by the wall paper. I chose kraft card as a base for my Concord & 9th flowers. I colored the flowers with Copics and added white gel pen details. The floral panel is cut with a W+9 die. This is such a girly photo to me and I wanted to use a girly die! :) I also die cut a plain circle to raise my die cut Winnie and Walter sentiment a little bit. Hope you like!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi guys!
I'm here with my DT card for our new challenge at Less Is More:

So, one layer cards for the next fortnight... One piece of card folded in half, no other layers of paper! Hope you'll enjoy!

I decided to play with these Altenew stamps because there's a very fitting sentiment in the set for our Thinking of You- theme. I also love the geometric look of this butterfly -great for CAS I think. I heat embossed the image and sentiment with gold powder on pale pink card and did super simple Copic coloring on the butterfly -no shading or anything. I added wink of stella to the butterfly and splattered a little bit of white paint for extra accents. One clear "pebble" finishes off the card (the name of these clear things is wiped out of my head!). Hope you like! Sorry for having only one DT card for you again... Summer hols are soon here and I hope my crafting energy is higher then! :) There's lots more DT inspiration in our challenge blog HERE

Winnie and Walter continue as our sponsors in the month of May. Play along and you could win a fabulous prize, a gift card to their shop! Happy crafting and good luck!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi guys!
I'm here with my DT card for our new challenge at Inkspirational! For the next fortnight we are inspired by this photo:

I was inspired by the foliage and the colors of the photo and decided to play with my new STAMPlorations cover plate. It's so pretty, I love it! You can buy it here.  The sentiment is also by STAMPlorations. I heat embossed it on black card with white powder... My favorite way to use sentiment stamps I think! I embellished the card with clear sequins. The cover plate was pretty easy and fast to use because I backed the cards I used for die cutting with stick it adhesive - I think it would have been a pain to use this cover plate without it!

Please head on over to our challenge blog now for more DT inspiration!

Time Out Challenges Reminder

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at TIME OUT. We are being Inspired By Words:

A very popular challenge already and I hope you'll also join us! This challenge is sponsored by STAMPlorations. You could win a $15 coupon to their store!

In my card I've used a STAMPlorations stamp, Framed Dahlia, heat embossed with white on Bristol paper. I then sponged a wash of salmon colored DI on top. I begun watercoloring by removing some of the salmon ink from the flowers with a wet brush and then just watercolored several layers of DI:s without much planning or precision! The card base is covered with a brusho bg I had made earlier, it matched the colors of my watercoloring nicely. I completed the card with a die cut Winnie and Walter sentiment.

Now I hope you'll head on over to our challenge blog for more inspiration from our DT and talented guest designer Kristina. She is someone whose coloring skills are just mind-blowing!!! Thanks for popping by and happy crafting!

Happy Birthday Sandie!

Hi friends!

I'm here today to share a birthday card I made for my good friend Sandie. Happy birthday hon! Sandie likes purples and pinks so these were the obvious color choices for her card!

This SSS flower is colored in with polychromos pencils. I don't own them (yet!!!) but I got to try them from my friend Milla when she was visiting a couple of weeks ago. I LOVED coloring in with the pencils and I think I did pretty well considering this was my first attempt with them ever! Since i already had the flower pre-colored this card came together very fast. I wanted to add some black for contrast and make a simple card for Sandie's CAS loving heart! The stitched fishtail dies come from MFT.

I'd like to enter:

(the fishtails were cut from snippets and also the flowers were stamped and cut out of left over pieces of coloring paper!)

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi guys!
We have a new challenge for you at Less Is More and this time it's a color challenge with a combo I personally love... Let's see what you guys think about it! So the colors are:

I hope you'll have fun creating with these colors.

We are already in May which means we have a new sponsor... And this time it is Winnie and Walter. Do play along in our both challenges in May for a change to win! As always, our design team has made fantastic samples for your inspiration and we are also happy to have a guest designer: Jojo. Really love the soft look of her card! This week I only have one card but I hope you'll like it. :)

I've created my card with patterned paper, dies (MFT for the "shape dies" and Winnie and Walter for the sentiment) and heat embossed + die cut flowers and leaves by Poppystamps. This card took a while to make, I just couldn't decide what direction to take with my elements (or what elements to include in the first place!) but I'm very happy with the end result and hope you'll like it too. Below you'll find a list of challenges I'm entering. Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

Challenges I'd like to enter:

That's Crafty: A stitch in time (I have faux stitching both in the base and in the die cut patterned paper shape)
Poppystamps Challenge #44: Patterned Paper
Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge #325: use snippets (everything on top of the base is die cut from leftovers!)
Penny Black and More: Anything Goes

Time Out Challenge Reminder!

Hi guys!
I'm here with a DT card for our current challenge at Time Out Challenges where we challenge you to be:

We are sponsored by Winnie and Walter and our DT has had great fun creating with their stamps and dies. Thank you for your generosity, Winnie and Walter! Our winner will win a $25 coupon to their store.

I've made a one layer card with a wildly skiing bear from the wilderness. :) I love the inspiration behind this card (a card by my friend Milla, thanks for letting me CASE you Milla!) but I did to rock with the execution this time... My masking between the snowbank and skies looks weird and I did some masking mistakes even with the bear and the sky... I tried to fix with a Copic marker (look at his belly!) but didn't have a good shade... And I managed to drop a giant amount of white paint to the middle of the card, hence the enamel dots (I do like them though so that was a happy accident!). I hope to re-do this card design and post it another time, let's see when that happens! The bear is colored with Copics and the sky is created with distress inks and white paint. If this card wouldn't be such a mess I'd love it! :)

I hope you'll now head on over to our blog for more DT inspiration. One of the most entertaining card bloggers and talented card makers in bogland, Darnell, is our GD this time. Welcome to Time Out, Darnell! I love Darnell's funny way of writing her posts and her cards are amazing. If you for some insane reason would not know her and her blog, you are in for a treat!

Happy crafting, everyone!
