New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!

We have a new challenge for you at Less Is More and it's something different this time: we are CASEing our January winner, Aileen! I love Aileen's cards and was delighted to CASE her. Here's her card:

Now let's look at the 2 cards I made inspired by Aileen!

Card 1: Flowers in a pot

In this card I used a flower stamp and a stencil by STAMPlorations and dies by My Favorite Things. I love this large, swirly thanks-word and wanted to die cut it from silver glitter card as Aileen did in her card! I was also inspired by Aileen's coloring and tried to mimic the same style a little bit by leaving the center of my flower petals white. My coloring is with Copics in both of my cards. The card base looked a bit too bare so I did some super soft stenciling and just a couple of white paint splatters to keep the look CAS.

Card 2: Jumbo Flower

Again I'm inspired by the blue flower in Aileen's card! My original plan was to CASE her layout too but I ended up making my own layout, this flower is super large and and it took some time to find a good way to place it. Don't know if I succeeded but I'm at least moderately happy! Again, coloring with Copics and yes, I splattered again... Sorry I can't remember the maker of the flower stamp!

With this card I'd like to join:

  1. Love this duo of deliciousness Nonni! The sweet little basket of flowers is beautiful and your soft stencilling behind it - well, there's no other word for it than 'superb'. But WOW!! what a fabulous bloom on the second card. That's a really dramatic one and I wish I had that stamp. Stunning! Have a wonderful Easter weekend. xx

  4. A duo of beautiful cards, Nonni! Love both images you’ve used. The daisies in the pot is adorable and your colouring is on point with Aileen’s. The second oversized bloom is a stunner. Tricky with its size, but you nailed the layout with this one. Super job. Hope you had an egg-cellent Easter. xx

  9. Hi Nonni! Sorry I’ve been absent for a while, mojo lost and a week of holiday in the sun with my mum, then lots of tv time during Easter. I don’t know about Finland, but in Norway it’s tradition that the channels are showing lots of crime series with several episodes and yesterday we did ‘tv marathon’ seeing one of them, with six episodes in a row. Both your cards are stylish. I like how you used a die cut to make a vase forvtge flowers on your first, and awesome sentiment design too. Big stamps can be tricky, but I like playing with them, and this layout suits it so well.
