Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my reminder card for the current TIME OUT challenge. This is a happy post because a) I like the card I made and b) my photographs are finally getting better... I finally noticed there was something wrong with the settings of my camera. I've literally wanted to throw the whole camera to the bin during the last two weeks or so when taking photos of the cards that I made... Now I feel like taking new photos of everything! :)

We are Inspired by Words at TIME OUT and here's the quote:

In my card I'm using a wonderful sentiment stamp by our sponsor STAMPlorations from a set called Words of Gratitude . I think this is such a beautiful saying and something to think about when having a bad day! The large flower stamp, heat embossed with white, comes from Altenew. The stitched half-circle is by MFT.

I hope you'll head on over to our blog and be inspired by our wonderful GD Izzy (one of my favorite card makers!) and our DT members.

I'd like to join:

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi guys!
It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More and we have a recipe for you: Let It Shine! Very handy for making festive Christmas cards. :) Our blog is filled with fabulous DT inspiration, don't miss any of the fun, click HERE. Our sponsor in November is Dies to Die for -play along for a chance to win!

I keep being a bit overloaded with work so only one card for you this week. I've die cut an opening to white card stock with my favorite snowflake die (Joy Crafts) and backed the white card with blue glitter card. I've attached one blue rhinestone to the middle of the snowflake and stamped a Christmas sentiment (the Greeting Farm) and then attached my panel to a card base. Super simple! :) I do love how this turned out and might make a couple more of these for quick Christmas cards to send abroad -this design is so light it can be sent with the cheapest postage! :) There's something I like about not using the snowflake die cut but using the negative window. This is such a fab die!

Happy crafting everyone, I look forward seeing what you create for us!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!

We are back with another challenge at Less Is More. This time we are CASEing one of our DT members, the fabulous Susan, whose birthday it is today! Happy Birthday, Susan! Susan is a wizard with Copic coloring and here's the card she has made for us to CASE:

Now let's get into the cards I made inspired by Susan!

Card 1
The girl and the bear
(above)

In this card I used one of my favorite Christmas stamps from last year. This W+9 stamps image is so cute! I've colored the image with Copics, die cut it, and then die cut the shape 4 times out of plain white card. I glued all the die cut pieces together to avoid using dimensional adhesive -I love the way you can use scrap card for creating the dimension and saving your 3d adhesive for something else!

Card 2
Christmas Elf

In this card I've used the same die cutting technique. This MFT elf is not a Christmas stamp but I think it works for Christmas too! Again my coloring is made with Copics. The Christmas sentiment is Finnish (as in my first card). This challenge was perfect for making quick, fun Christmas cards! I embellished my elf with one die cut snowflake to make him look a bit more Christmassy. :)

My apologies for the the blue tint in my white card in the photos... The lighting condition were not that great when I was taking the photos!

Our November sponsor is Dies to Die for. Play along for a chance to win a fabulous sponsor prize + you could be chosen as guest designer too! Happy crafting and thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational. Our DT member Yvonne has chosen a fun Christmas card challenge for you:

Our challenge blog is filled with DT inspiration and we hope to see you joining us! Our guest designer this time is the talented Heidi -play along and you could be chosen as guest designer too!

My card is made with patterned paper, vellum and CAS-ual Fridays snowflake stamps and sentiment stamp heat embossed with white powder. I love how this turned out but the photo gives it no justice -I photographed this outside one morning when the sun was not really up yet (not that it shines too much in November anyway...) and the white in the photo looks very blue. It's that time of year again when taking photos of your cards is super annoying!

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us! Happy crafting!

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at TIME OUT where we are CASEing this fantastic card by Michele:

Michele is one of my favorite bloggers and also a regular player at TIME OUT. I really love her style! If you don't know her blog I card Everyone, you know what to do next! :)

I CASEd pretty much all the elements in Michele's card... I only changed the colors and layout. My hidden sentiment is very hidden, oops... But I guess you can somehow read it! :) Should maybe have added black layers under the top one instead of white. Oh well! The sentiment die is by Ellen Hutson (thank you TO DT friend Jill for sending me this last year!) and the stamped sentiment is by Happy Little Stampers, our sponsor. The stencil I used comes from Simon Says Stamp.

All our challenge details and lots of DT inspiration can be found HERE. Our guest designer this time is Bobby -also a regular at TO and one of my favorite card makers in blog land! Just love Bobby's eye for detail! Play along and you could be chosen as guest designer as well... Happy crafting!

STAMPlorations 3rd Annual Thanks Blog Hop

Hi friends!

I have a great pleasure to be joining in the STAMPlorations 3rd Annual Thanks Blog Hop! There's lots of inspiration and prizes along the way so do click on the link above and have fun! DT members from several challenge blogs are joining in and I'm actually joining from two design teams where I belong: Time Out Challenges and Less Is More.

Shery from STAMPlorations very kindly sent me a set of wonderful new sentiment stamps to play with and this is the card I created with the stamps. Very CAS but I love the end result! This is the stamp set I used:

Very cool sentiment, right!

The angel attached to my tag is recycled from a bottle of red wine, it was an embellishment in the wrapping. I've cut a STAMPlorations tag, heat embossed my sentiment, blended some inks on it and that's all there is to this card! The card base is pearlescent white, quite pretty!

From today onwards until the ned of November there's also a massive sale at STAMPlorations -everything is 40% off! Time to shop!

Happy hopping! :)

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
We are back with a new challenge at Less Is More and this time it will run for two weeks so you'll have lots of time to join in! It is a color challenge "fireworks" but you'll see from the DT cards that most of us have actually been inspired by the look of fireworks too, not only colors... Let's see how you'll be inspired!

New month brings in a new sponsor and in November it is Dies to Die for. Play along often for a chance to be our monthly winner and to be chosen as a guest designer too! This time our GD is Biggan, one of our regulars. She is a fantastically artistic card maker, her cards are often like small paintings... Love them and only wish I had such skills with water color!

Välkommen till Less Is More, Biggan! (I try to practice my Swedish whenever I can!)

Card 1 (above) Let's Celebrate
My first card is quite good for New Year's I think! The half-tone circle stamps by Altenew represent my fireworks and all the black stamping is made with stamps by Paper Smooches. I used Hero Arts neon inks for stamping the fireworks colors -I think these were the most bright and vibrant inks in my collection! The glittery card base was a last minute idea -I have lots of glitter card I don't use that much and I've recently tried to save white card and use other card stock that I have. Looks rather festive! A couple of silver sequins finish off the card.

I'd like to join:

Card 2 (below) Thanks

Here are the Altenew half-tone circles again and this time the sentiment is from the same set. Very quick and basic CAS card with plain stamping! The card base is dry embossed with a stripy embossing folder for extra texture and interest but it's very hard to see in the photo -maybe you'll have some luck if you enlarge the pic. I embellished the card with clear sequins around the sentiment.

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Less Is More!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

Today begins our new challenge at Inkspirational:

I must admit I had absolutely no idea what are the current card making trends! I haven't had much time for blog hopping (or money for shopping!) lately so I'm totally out so to speak! Luckily our Ink boss Marina gave me a lot of good ideas (that lady knows what she is talking about! Marina is super trendy with her cards!) and here I'm using some of her ideas: pastel colors and black sentiment strip with white heat embossed sentiment. Using the flower came to my head from some clothes I've bought recently (yes, sometimes you sacrifice the crafting money for clothing...)  - dresses/shirts with roses and other floral patterned fabrics seem to be quite on trend at least here in Finland... So my Altenew flower came out to play. I went with a quite womanly/romantic look with this card using the scalloped rectangle die from W+9 in addition to the soft color palette and flower-theme! Hope you like!

Our guest designer this time is Linda. She has a wonderful card making style, she makes both CAS and more detailed cards, do visit her blog Loopyloocards and have a look! Our regular DT members also have made stunning, trendy cards for your inspiration -don't miss any of them, click HERE! Happy crafting!

TIME OUT Challenge Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current TIME OUT challenge:

Sympathy Cards with the Optional Twist of Distressing

No twist for me this time! I've made a super CAS card with minimal Copic coloring using poppy stamps by Clearly Besotted and sentiment by CAS-ual Fridays. Only the blooms are colored in with red Copies + I've added some white gel pen to two of the flowers. I quite like the red/white/black/grey color palette of this!

Our sponsor in this challenge is Happy Little Stampers, play along for a chance to win! You could also be chosen as a future guest designer -this time our GD is Sue whose CAS style (often with mixed media feel!) I really admire. Now it's your turn to take TIME OUT and craft!
