New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Less Is More, a fun recipe challenge: Stamp Layering. You could use layering stamp sets or just stamp in layers (as I've done) and play with different colored/types of inks and heat embossing for example. Our DT has a lot of inspiring ideas for you, click HERE to have a look!

Our sponsor in the month of October is Uniko. Play along and you could be chosen as our monthly winner!

In my card I've used leaf stamps by Altenew. I've used a scrap piece of green card stock that has some shine to it (that shine is the reason why my card is photographed flat this time, getting the sentiment focused with my normal way of taking photos did not work at all!) and looked for an ink color that matched it well for tone on tone stamping. My second layer of stamping is made with white pigment ink. I also used a scrap piece of vellum and heat embossed my sentiment in white. I attached the stamped panel to a base card I made with a lighter green card. Still trying to use up my colored card and save some white! :)

Thanks for popping by and happy crafting!

I'm playing along at:

CASology: Cherish

AAA Cards: Inspired by Film
Into the Wild
An amazing (unbelievable-leaf-able!) true story about a guy who goes to Alaska wilderness all alone to see how he survives there... And unfortunately this adventure has a sad ending. My card is inspired both by nature-theme and the courage of the main character.

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Less Is More, a fun theme challenge "Monsters"!

The challenge blog is filled with DT inspiration, click HERE for admiring the cards and learning all the challenge details! Uniko is our sponsor in the month of October.

The monster die cut in my card comes from Paper Smooches. After die cutting him I've sponged him with DI:s and splattered some water for texture. I gave him googly eyes just for fun. :) The banner die and sentiment stamp come from MFT. I embellished the card with clear sequins. Super simple!

I hope you'll now head on over to the challenge blog and have a look what my inspiring team mates have made. Then it's your turn to make monster cards! Happy crafting! :)

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
It's time for a new challenge at Inkspirational where we are inspired by this amazing photo:

My main inspiration was the color palette and leaves but I did choose the "spiky" looking Altenew flowers as my leaves because of the twigs in the photo. I've colored my leaves with Copics and added white gel pen details. The sentiment stamp is an oldie from a stamp company that doesn't exist anymore (and right now the name escapes my mind too!). I attached my stamped panel to a black card base and this card was ready -very quick and easy. A couple of gold sequins for finishing touch.

I hope to see you playing along! Lot's of DT inspiration HERE.

TIME OUT Challenges Reminder

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at TIME OUT, where we are inspired by this fun photo:

I chose the color scheme of the photo + glass: I used acetate to represent glass and made a simple shaker card. The beautiful butterfly dies are by STAMPlorations, our sponsor: the winner of this challenge will receive a $10 gift voucher to their store. The sentiment stamp is also by STAMPlorations but I think this set has retired already, at least I didn't locate it in the store! The dies are found HERE. I embellished the card with black Nuvo drops. The designer paper has word "Kiitos" on it repeatedly -"Kiitos" is Finnish for Thank You. I used tiny clear sequins for shaker element.

The challenge blog is filled with DT inspiration, don't miss any of the fun, click HERE! Our guest designer this time is the talented Janet. She has such a pretty CAS style. Play along and you could be chosen as guest designer one day too! Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
It's Saturday and time for a new Less Is More challenge! We have a color challenge for you and it's a fun one: hot and spicy colors! Our blog is filled with DT inspiration so please head on over there for more hot and spicy cards!

Card 1

My first card is very CAS with burning hot colors! I've stamped my Altenew bird, masked it off (along with adding a straight edge mask), sponged the top portion of the panel with orange DI and stamped some grid pattern (Kaiserkraft) on it with the same orange ink. My bird is colored in with Copics and I simply stamped a sentiment (STAMPlorations) to finish off the card. I adhered the stamped panel on card base out of red cardstock -I'm trying to use up my colored card and save some white! :) This card is inspired by the sketch (and well, the colors are very sunny too so by the photo too!) at Fusion card challenges:

And I'm also joining the grid-challenge at CASology. (I hope you can see the grid I stamped as extra interest on top of my inking! The photo didn't catch it very well.)

Card 2

My second card is sort of a re-make of my TIME OUT DT card from Thursday (click HERE if you want to check out that card, I really liked how it turned out!). I wanted to change the design a little bit and have a go with the hot and spicy colors. The stamp set is a stunner by CAS-ual Fridays stamps: Casual Comfort. This card is inspired by these challenges:

AAA Cards: Sketch

My first time playing here... Glad to enter! These encouragement challenges are amazing!

Stamping Sensations: Autumn Glory

Before going I want to let you know that Uniko is our sponsor in the month of October and this week we have the pleasure to have Bev from Uniko as our guest designer. I love the mandala card she made for us!

That's all from me this time, folks! If you made it until here... Well done! Quite a long post! :)

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!

I'm here with my DT card for the current Inkspirational challenge where my wonderful DT friend Sandie has chosen us a theme:

One of my faves! I often go very CAS with one layers but this time I wanted to fill almost my whole card base with a stenciled design. The fun, funky deer with almost tribal looking details is from a stamp set I got last Christmas from Gerrina. It's my first time using this stamp and I think I'll make many more Christmas cards with it this year -I love how this turned out! I only colored his horns this time (I used Copics) but I so want to do the whole image with some cool non-traditional Christmas colors... I love all the detail in this stamp. Thank you so much, Gerrina! The stencil I used is from STAMPlorations and the sentiment is super old by SSS.

I hope to see you playing along! Don't miss any other DT inspiration and challenge details, click HERE.

I'd like to enter:

Thanks for popping by! Happy crafty weekend to you all!

TIME OUT Reminder!

Hi friends,
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at TIME OUT. Due to breast cancer month our theme is:

Breast Cancer Awareness and/or Friendship

This challenge is sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays and the winner will receive a $25 voucher to their store! Wonderful prize, right!

In my DT card I'm playing with a wonderful stamp set by CAS-ual Fridays: Casual Comfort . I got this design idea immediately after seeing this stamp set but I must confess it's not my own: if you click HERE you'll see my "inspiration for one layer cards- Pinterest board" and find many examples of this kind of simple masking/layered stamping cards. I used a pink DI for sponging and and ink brushing my masked area and stamped some flower stems with that same ink, then I continued to stamp with black ink and in the end I did a couple of stems with golden Delicata ink. My DT buddy Jill used gold in her pink/white card last week and I loved it, I wanted to try the same color combo! Thanks Jill! I also used some sequins we DT members got as an extra gift from CAS-ual Fridays. Michele is always so generous to us, thank you so much!

Now it's your turn to take TIME OUT and craft if you haven't already! :) Please check our blog for even more DT inspiration from our design team members and wonderfully artistic guest designer Yulia

Happy Little Stampers October Christmas Challenge!

Ho guys!
We have a new monthly Christmas challenge for you at Happy Little Stampers. Our theme is always "Anything Christmas Goes" but there's an optional twist on offer too and this time it is "silhouette".

I decided to make a Scandinavian style Christmas card using a background stamp by The Ton, a Finnish Christmas sentiment and Snowflake die by Marianne Design. The sentiment is heat embossed with platinum silver powder and I've added clear sequins for extra sparkle. The white rectangle has faux stitched, die cut details -also by Marianne Design. I've die cut the snowflake twice, from grey and white card, and used in-laid die technique with the pieces.

Hope you like and thanks for popping by! Don't miss the other DT cards or prize info, click HERE.

Card for Challenges!

Hi friends!
I think this is my first non-DT card after the summer holidays -I've had a couple of pretty laid-back days and finally found time to play with an Altenew stamp set I got from my wonderful friend Marina for my birthday in August. This set consists of leaves that are layering stamps and the amazing, tropical bird that one card color in -I used Copics. You can also see some shine from Stickles in some parts of the bird but you all know how hard it is to make sparkle to show in a photo! I really like how this card turned out -I'd never have thought layering stamps and a self-colored image work together this well!

I'm entering:

(yay for the bonus day, I found time to enter, woot woot!)

(I used the colors as my inspiration, mine are a shade darker though!)

Thanks for popping by!
