New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational where we are inspired by this cute Christmas pic below:

I made a Christmas card for my "soon to be a cat owner"- friend. I'm a bit worried she will guess that this card is for her when she sees this... But I hope she will still enjoy holding the card in her hands after it has arrived to it's destination! The cute kitten image is a digi by Mo Manning.

Please head on over to our challenge blog for more DT inspiration and all the challenge details!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hello friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the new TIME OUT Challenge

This challenge is sponsored by Catherine Pooler! All the challenge information, more DT inspiration and prize details HERE. Do play along for a chance to win an amazing prize + to be called to guest design in a future challenge!

I'm a very slow card maker... Not quick at all!!! Even with CAS cards I tend to wonder and ponder where to place my focal point and what colors to use et cetera... And when using die cut flowers/other shapes there's the background to think about, what to do with that... All of that thinking takes for ages. I post 1-2 cards a week but I do spent a lot more time thinking about card making that you might think!

This card has some steps which made it an quick an easy card for me although it of course took some time with the coloring! But my quick steps are:

-a large floral image: not much pondering where to place your image, it practically fills the whole card base! :) This STUNNING wintry floral cluster is a digi by Graciellie Design. Also digis are pretty fast to work with I think: No stamp inking, positioning, cleaning the stamp et cetera... Just some minutes on your laptop and you have a "perfectly stamped" image is in your hands!

-the background is simply inked with blue distress ink and an ink brush (aka old blush brush). No stamping or techniques -just an easy, quick way to ground your image so that it doesn't float in empty space!

-the sentiment is simply stamped with the help of MISTI. Quick, quick!

-no embellishments. It takes me a life time to figure out where to place the sequins or other embellies lol! Doing some plaint splatters is wayyyy quicker and more artsy too!

So do you agree with me, have I made a quick card (for me) or have I cheated? :)

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

Card for Challenges

Hi friends!
I'm here with a floral card with an image from Gracielliedesign -I'm completely in love with these wintry floral clusters, she has several of these type of digis in her store! I've colored the image with Copics and added a heat embossed sentiment. Some inking around the image + white paint splatters and that's how this card came together! :)

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
I'm here FINALLY with a DT card for Inkspirational... I took a couple of weeks off due to hectic every day life. Happy to be back and I hope to keep up with crafting again!

Ou challenge is a nice one, "Frame it". I framed my Waffleflowercrafts poinsettias with a nice die cut rectangle (by STAMPloraions) and I guess the brown base counts as a frame as well! My coloring is made with Copics. Hope you like and thanks for popping by! I hope to see you joining us.

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
We begin with a new fun challenge at Time Out today:

The winner of the challenge receives a prize from Craftangles and gets to guest design for us. Play along and next time you could be the winner! All challenge details along with DT inspiration HERE

I''m going with two interpretations of the theme: open golf tournaments and birthday -a sport event can be counted as a festival and celebrating your birthday can also work if you stretch the theme a bit! :) I made this card for my soon 4 years old god son who loves all sports but who last summer got obsessed with golf. His mum plays golf and he gets to join her to the court with her mini golf clubs... One time he got a blister from practicing so hard and still wanted to go and continue the very next day! The way I colored his outfit is inspired by an actual outfit he once wore for a golf day, I studied a video from his mum's IG! :)

With this card I'd like to join
