New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

We have a new challenge for you at Time Out and this time it's one of our Inspired by Words challenges:

Our challenge runs for two weeks and is sponsored by Topflight Stamps . More details in our challenge blog! Our guest designer this time is the talented Ashwini and if you play along and win you could be our guest designer as well!

I was inspired by the word love and used it in one of my sentiments. And I'd also say a dance party in a heart certainly sounds like something you will enjoy and want to take time with! :)

Stamps and dies I used come from Waffle Flower Stamps, one of my favorite companies. The rectangle die is by MFT. I've colored the image with Copics and added some white gel pen details. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a very unique and inspiring photo challenge beginning at Inkspirational:

Don't hesitate to head on over to our challenge blog to learn more about all the challenge details and DT inspiration!

In my card I was inspired by the white backdrop with large red circles on it... And I also chose pink for the color of my flowers due to the overall color scheme of the photo. I used peony stamps by Newton's Nook and colored them with Copics. The stamped sentiment is by Waffle Flower. I quite like this slimline card trend!

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!

We have a new challenge for you at Time Out! It's a nice one, we challenge you to be:

I decided to go with coloring flowers because first of all -coloring with markers is something I find very peaceful and also gardens with flowers are very peaceful places! :)

The beautiful Penny Black image I used is called Blooming Bunch. I decided to try a more "artsy" coloring and don't completely love the results but I'm sure I learned a thing or two while coloring this! :) I've colored the image with Copics and Altenew Markers, added some paint splatters and gel pen details and then just die cut some simple stitched frames with a Winnie and Walter die. The Finnish sentiment wishes something like "Joy and Light for you".

This time our sponsor is Newton's Nook with a generous $25 coupon for our winner! Play along so you could win and also be called as guest design in a future challenge. This time the guest designer is Sue who has such a beautiful card making style! I look forward seeing what you'll create for us. Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and it's something I really like!

I've been practicing on my coloring skills lately: I've tried to learn the marker coloring style where you leave the brush nib strokes visible and don't blend the colors together. I think I tried this the first time already 5 years ago (or something!) and I've kept coming back to it every now and then because I so admire the textured look... But I've never liked the way my strokes look like!! About two weeks ago I decided it's now finally time to learn the thing and not to just be intimidated... And this is the first outcome I feel confident enough to share! I used Altenew markers for coloring and a little bit of white gel pen and white and gold paint to add final accents.

The amazing image is a Power Poppy digital stamp that is FREE (wow!!) in their shop HERE. They have amazing digis in their store... I'm very tempted!! After the background was ready I was so relieved I just grabbed a sentiment stamp I had near me on my table (by Create a Smile) and stamped it... It totally vanishes into the background... So I tried to salvage it with die cutting three fishtail shapes (by MFT) around it, popping the two inner ones up. Don't love it but oh well, at least most of the flowers look nice! :)

Please head on over to our blog to have a look at all the DT inspiration and challenge details. Thanks for popping by and happy crafting!

New Challenge at Time Out!

Hi friends!
We have a new, very interesting challenge for you at Time Out:

You could go with something retro style, use an oldie but a goodie stamp that gives you memories, be inspired by the times before us/ something vintage... The possibilities are almost endless! CAS-ual Fridays sponsors us with a generous $25 voucher for the winner. Our winner also is called to guest design in a future challenge and this time it's a regular TO player Claire, one of my favorite card makers!

I wanted to make a slimline card and started with simply stamping a quote that seemed to fit the theme pretty well (from a Waffleflower set) and then stamped cherry blossoms by Create a Smile and colored them with Copics. I wanted to add something extra so I draw a frame with a thin black marker and ruler. Then I simply attached the panel to my base and finished the card with some clear drops.

Please head on over to our challenge blog for all the challenge details and more DT inspiration!
