New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More

For example an elephant and a mouse, a large sentiment and a tiny image, a big flower and a small flower, a large square, a small square... Something like that!

I went with big and small butterflies from our sponsor Uniko

I've had this set for a couple of years already and it's just so beautiful! I simply stamped the butterflies and colored them with Copics and added gold and black paint splatters. I made sure my paint brush was pretty dry before I splattered so I got these very tiny spots of paint - I first splattered on a scrap piece of paper until I had gotten rid of most of the moisture. Love how this simple little one layer turned out!

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Less Is More! Lots of more DT inspiration in our blog

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

HI friends!

I'm here with my DT card for the new challenge at Inkspirational:

I've went with a very literal interpretation and used a Penny Black leaping bunny image. :) I've colored the image with water colors and pencils. The rectangle die is also by Penny Black. I used some patterned paper for the background -I couldn't resist this colorful stack of papers in my local book store and I guess I'll now have to try to use them!

Please head on over to out challenge blog for more DT inspiration and all the challenge details. Happy crafting!

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!

I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at Time Out where we have one of our Inspired by Words challenges for you:

You can be inspired by the whole phrase or just choose one word/some words for the inspiration of your project. Our phrase today was especially chosen as we are celebrating the 8th Birthday our wonderful sponsor Uniko. Congrats Uniko and thank you for all your support! Check out the celebrations going on there by visiting their blog hereThe words of this challenge are also celebrating the 'Random Act of Kindness Day' that was celebrated on 17th Feb.

In my card I've used one of my favorite flower stamps in my stash: Pure Florals: Peony by Uniko. I really love how this turned out! I've heat embossed the images with white powder and then sponged the base with pink and purple distress inks. I then used the exactly same inks to water color the images. The Verve Stamps sentiment is simply stamped. I think this might be one of my favorite cards I've ever made! Hope you like it too. Lots of more inspiration from our DT and super talented guest designer Sue in our blog!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my DT card for the latest Less Is More challenge:

Use lots of small images/words/sentiments but keep the card CAS
how many small images/shapes are you able to incorporate to your design but still keep your card cas? For example tiny flowers, stars, snowflakes etc

We are continuing with our February sponsor Uniko. It's also the birthday month of Less Is More -full 10 years next year! :)

In my card I've used a Christmas stamp by our sponsor Uniko which is pretty perfect for the challenge theme! I've simply stamped it with Memento, colored the outline images with Copics and added some Wink of Stella and white gel pen details. The heat embossed sentiment is by STAMPlorations. Hope you like and thanks for popping by! Lots more DT inspiration in our challenge blog. :)

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge, a fun photo inspiration at Inkspirational

I was inspired by a lot in the photo: The clouds, the love word (I also tried to incorporate the patterned look of the letters in the photo) and also the overall color scheme comes from the inspiration. The Ellen Hutson flower image is colored with Copics and gel pens. The background is stenciled with white pigment ink. I did need to add quite many layers to get it to show! I think my white ink might be drying out...  The die cut letters and the stencil are both by Marianne design, the background stamp I used for the pattern in the letters is super old, maybe by Prima, can't be sure! The rectangle die is by STAMPlorations. Hope you like and I look forward seeing you play along!

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here with my reminder card for the current challenge at Time Out:

We are sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps with a generous $25 coupon for our winner, chosen by the DT! The winner will also be invited to guest design in a future challenge. This time the guest designer is the very talented Mugdha!

I was so pleased my friend and TO boss Sandie used this background stamp in her DT card last week -I hadn't made my card at that point yet and her card reminded me I also have this fab Heart to Heart background stamp. Thank you for the inspiration Sandie! I've heat embossed the image with black on baby pink card and colored the inner hearts. I first used only Copics but they didn't really blend on this card and the result was messy... I went over with colored pencils and in the end coated the coloring with Wink of Stella. The circles are colored with just white pencil and also "winked". Loved how this turned out! In Finland Valentine's Day is called Friendship Day and this card goes to one of my close colleagues with a nice bar of chocolate. :)

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you joining us at Time Out!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!

We have a very fun, VERY CAS challenge at Less is More this time:

I chose a beautiful sentiment by STAMPlorations and stamped three tiny flowers from a random set in my stash to give it some extra interest. I colored the flowers with Copics and added a touch of white gel pen. A super fast and easy one layer!

This challenge is also very special because Less Is More is turning 9 years!!

I truly enjoy being part of the DT of this amazing challenge blog!

In the month of February we have Uniko sponsoring us with goodies for the monthly winner. Make sure to play along in all our February challenges! I look forward seeing what "Less" means to you... Happy crafting!
