New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at Inkspirational! This time it's a photo inspiration, have a look:

So cute, right? I was inspired by the white & pink -color combo, the heart-shaped cookies and the bold sentiment on them. I used a Concord and 9th die for the heart and the die cut Winnie and Walter sentiment is a pressie from my good friend and fellow Ink team mate Sandie. :) The heart is inked with distress inks and I added splatters of water, pearl white water color and white acrylic paint on it. A very simple CAS card!

Have a look what the rest of the Ink design team created from HERE and I hope to see you playing along!

Thyroid Awareness Month Blog Hop !

Hi friends!
The wonderful Milka Gulbo is hosting a Thyroid Awareness Month Blog Hop and I was chuffed when she asked me to join in! Milka has gathered a group of 26 designers to join and post a project to raise awareness and to help you to remember to get yours checked regularly! Today is Day 17 of the hop. There is some giveaways along the hop so make sure to visit every designer! You can find the blogs participating in the hop HERE and also Milka posts about this event every day!

Thyroid can cause several health problems -have a look at this site called Thyroid Awareness for more information. Also Milka has gathered a lot of useful information HERE.

Thyroid is shaped liked a butterfly so many of our projects will have butterflies in them.. And also the thyroid awareness ribbon has blue paisley pattern so that's something else you'll probably see in our projects. Don't forget to check the link above for thyroid information.... And now onto my card! :)

I was inspired by the butterfly shape of the thyroid and also brought in some blue, inspired by the ribbon. I used butterfly stamps by STAMPlorations: I stamped and masked a bunch of them and colored them in with Copics. I did some subtle inking and stencil work for the background. Also lots of white, blue and glitter gel pens was added to the coloring. The sentiment is from the same STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies set. Hope you like!

The next card maker to post in this blog hop is Larissa Walgemoed! You'll find her card tomorrow at 9 PM (Central European Time UTC +1) HERE. Have fun hopping and thanks for popping by! :)

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!
I'm here today with my DT card for the new challenge at Less Is More. This time we have a sketch for you:

Skull and Cross Buns continues as our January sponsor with a prize for our monthly winner.

Immediately when seeing the sketch I thought about this pretty old PT stamp with the bow and the strings... I thought it was perfect! I went with a die cut sentiment (Winnie and Walter). It's cut from red card and I've inked an ombre effect on it and added sparkle with WOS -unfortunately the camera didn't really catch neither of those effects very well.

Our guest designer this time is the fantastic Toni. Have a look at her fun card and all the DT inspiration in our challenge blog HERE... And then is your turn to show us how the sketch inspires you! Thanks for popping by and happy crafting!

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

HI friends!
We have a new wonderful challenge for you at Inkspirational, chosen by one of our newest DT members, Anila:

I love coloring on kraft so that's what I wanted to do for the challenge! I chose an Altenew set I hadn't used before and white heat embossed the flowers. I've colored the image with Polychromos pencils and let me tell you, this took ages! Maybe 4 hours? :) But I love how it turned out and this stamp is just so beautiful. I hope you'll now head on over to our challenge blog and be inspired by the creations of my team members! Thanks for popping by!

Time Out Challenges Reminder!

Hi friends!
I'm here to remind you of our current challenge at TIME OUT where we challenge you to be:

We are sponsored by Birch Press Designs and as always we also have a fabulous guest designer... This time it's the CAS-loving Jane and if you are not familiar with her work, you are in for a treat!

In my card I'm using an AMAZING floral cluster by Concord and 9th. I bought this last fall but this is the first time I colored it (I used Copics) and it was so enjoyable! I ended up adding lots of glitter detail with Stickles and I couldn't resist some white gel pen too. The sentiment stamp, perfect for this challenge I think, is from the same set. Some light inking and stenciling for the background.

I hope you'll now head on over to our challenge blog for more inspiration! I look forward seeing what you'll create.

Crafting with my friend Milla!

Hi friends!
Some days ago me and my crafting buddy Milla decided to create together although we have not been physically in the same place (we do meet sometimes and craft all days long but this time we didn't). We chose a stamp we both have and made a card with it... Interested to see how different the outcome would be! The stamp we chose is Hello Lovely by Concord & 9th -something we both find a bit tricky to color in. Since I wanted this to be pretty nice, having this "challenge" with Milla and all... This is my fourth attempt! :) I'll not bore you with all the details of what went wrong with the 3 first cards... At least I'm quite happy with this one! This is such a fun image to color if you count out the small flowers (that I colored in with light blue), they somehow don't behave! :) And well, masking this is a pain as well... In this final version I masked only the biggest flowers and leaves and decided I would use so dark Copic colors for the small flowers and branches that they would cover the blue background ink I laid before coloring in the flower. I've added a detail photo so you can see how this looked after taking the mask off -the small flowers and the branches are covered with blue ink but it doesn't matter for the final coloring. Hope you like and thanks for popping by!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!

It's time for the first Less Is More challenge of 2019 and it's a special one: we have three new DT members joining us! A warm welcome to  Kylie, Michelle and Stephanie

Our first challenge of 2019 is a Theme challenge: Water.

We also have a new fabulous sponsor:

Skull and Cross Buns are sponsoring us for the whole month of January.

Then, let's see what I made!

I decided to use this cute piggie-image from Hero Arts... He looks so adorable playing in the water. I must say I hate how this turned out! LOL! I tried new paper for my pencils and I did not make it work yet... There's strikes all over my coloring. Also the colors showed up so strong that for example the color of the pig is very strange. It's quite ok in the picture but IRL... Not cute. :) I do love love love the Hero Arts image though! Other than stamping the image and sentiment, die cutting the rectangles and coloring the image, that was all there is to this card. Added some clear drops to represent water droplets.

My DT friends have lots of inspiration for you, don't miss any of it, click HERE
